Stingrays. Part 5 of the DVD, "Reef Life of the Andaman", available at www.bubblevision.com/marine-li... or view the whole 2-hour video at • Reef Life of the Andam...
Three species of stingray from the Andaman Sea. First we look at the most common stingray in the area, the bluespotted stingray, Neotrygon kuhlii, otherwise known as the Kuhl's stingray, at East of Eden in the Similan Islands and Racha Yai near Phuket in Thailand.
Then we meet the larger Jenkins whipray, Himantura jenkinsii, otherwise known as the sharpnose stingray or pointed-nose stingray, at Beacon Reef in the Similan Islands and in the Mergui Archipelago in Burma (Myanmar).
Finally we encounter the blotched fantail ray, Taeniura meyeni, also known as the black-blotched stingray or marbled stingray, in the Mergui Archipelago. Firstly a small group at Shark Cave, and then a shoal of some 30 stingrays at Black Rock.

And Me
Super video give new knowledge
No. At first they thought it was an Australian bull ray, Myliobatis australis, however it's since been suggested that it was more likely the cowtail stingray, Pastinachus sephen.

Agree 🐋🐠🐟🐬🐳
This one, Neotrygon kuhlii, is kind of diamond shaped and has dull colours. The bluespotted stingray, or bluespotted ribbontail ray, Taeniura lymma, that I have seen in the Gulf of Thailand, Indonesia and Fiji, is more circular. Its body is more yellow and the blue spots are brighter. Also its tail has a deep fin fold on the bottom which reaches to the tip of the tail.
Thanks for the info, now how to get a copy of the song???
Dear Bubble Vision :), I would like to say, thank you, to you, for taking the time, energy and effort to both upload and share this video with the youtube family. Thank You, Bubble Vision! :).
