I know that it helps with arthritis and joint pain. I did not realize that it was growing in a certain area of my yard. Not knowing which team it'll look like I thought it was a non useful plant. AKA: weed. As I went to pull the plant up out of the ground of course I got STUNG!!!! In turn I took a closer look so I could identify it. Due to having to go somewhere within an hour of time I just left everything alone. I have been having arthritis problems with my hand and at the end of the day it dawned on me that I had been pain free all day from the time I had touched the plant. Since that moment I have been trying to learn more about it so I can try and help others.

My introduction to nettles was when I moved to Idaho. I was bird hunting with a friend when I waded into a large stand of plants. I was wearing a T-shirt. My friend looked at me in horror, I couldn’t understand what was wrong. He explained to me I was standing in stinging nettles. For some reason they didn’t effect me. I saw nettle root supplements and investigated, now they use the whole plant. I take capsules twice a day.

Excellent! I have been feeling challenged health wise recently, and remembered eating NETTLES 50 years ago while living in the forest, and foraging mushrooms and other wild foods. I now live in the desert, so haven’t really thought about harvesting nettles, But found dry nettle leaves at local Food Coop and began making nettle tea. It has made a huge difference, My love affair with nettles has been renewed. Looking forward to your E-book. Thanks so much.

I knew of a man who had really horrible arthritis and would use a certain scorpion type to sting him every few months in order to control his arthritis. He said he'd never felt better since he began putting up with arthritis by using the scorpions to help him. He just happened to have been stung by one while in his bare feet and said a couple days later his arthritis was nearly completely gone. So he tested the theory that it may've helped by collecting one and allowing it to sting him. It worked like a charm for a few months.

Thank you Rosalee for this very informative video. I have had nettle tea which had good diuretic effects on my system. I've also made nettle soup which was really delicious and two years ago I juiced it with some fresh cleavers to make a spring tonic cleanser. I live in the UK and it grows prolifically almost everywhere. I also plan to do some more juice with the cleavers to make a skin lotion and also a soap.

I am new to herbalism and am somewhat reluctant to grow stinging nettle (for obvious reasons), but, after listening to this video, I may consider growing this at some time. Or at least finding some somewhere. My mom has continual pain in her back/neck and we have tried many things to help with this. The doctors just say there isn't anything they can do to help with pain. I am trying several things and would be open to looking into this. Thanks for making this video. And I have one of the books already and made one of the recipes using thyme and cherries to help with sleep. Excellent book. Thanks for making this video.

Stinging Nettle is the herb I am studying now so this vid is very timely. It’s a good one, as always. Thank you so much.
