Yeah! No World-Famous Wrestler should be forced to lose their last match. Never! Ric Flair didn't lose his last match. The Undertaker didn't lose his last match, and I would think, that while some did lose their last match, that- 1:No Wrestler should ever be forced to lose their last match. 2:It is the ULTIMATE in embarrassment, and disrespect, by any Wrestling Company, to force a certain Wrestler to lose their last match... unless the retiring Wrestler CHOOSES to lose their last match, in order to give a deserving Wrestler a "Rub" (Or, in other words, a "Push")!

Sting’s final match was a celebration of his career, and the heels winning simply wouldn’t make storyline sense. Also Sting was more than okay with losing and had to be convinced to take the win in the end.

Stings a legend unlike any other. He deserves to go out like the icon he is

Sting deserves a happy ending for everyone hes put over and coached and helped and his dedication and everything he gave no matter who he wrestled for

My favorite Weather Sting

AJ Styles did a great job for Taker's last match win.

No one wanted sting to lose. Yes, you could’ve made a storyline with the young bucks and I bet it would’ve been great. But genuinely so many ppl wanted Sting to win so bad that if they went the other way they most likely would’ve lost fans. This was a great decision and it brings in a deserved topic of certain wrestlers getting the “legend treatment” when they reach retirement.

Because he is the icon sting !

AEW is fun. True, some of the wrestlers may be past their athletic prime. But the characters are great and they are still capable of putting on great shows.

I’m pretty out of the loop but I didn’t realize sting was undefeated there. I think fans would be pissed for him to lose his very last match.

Going to miss him. He is my favorite wrestler..

The man earned the right to have a winning record with AEW. One of the most respectable careers in the sport of wrestling belongs to Sting. Flair and Hogan had to be carried off the stage because they couldn't let go. Sting did it right.

Sting should win all his wwe matches.

Sting's a professional he's put over some many people in the business it's not funny. A lot of people he should have dominated flat out. But he sold and made they look good. He should have squashed a lot of people in the 90s, and because he didn't, those matches were not good. But he will always be entertaining and inspiring. Thank you, Steve Borden. AKA Sting!!

Tony did Sting justice after that abusive McMahon WWE bs. Tony saw Vince booked Sting to have a losing streak in WWE and decided the Icon deserved so much better. Thank You Tony for doing the right thing for Sting and his fans.

Sting is a top 20 all time wrestling star

Sting and Darby Allen deserved to go out on top with their partnership, no controversy about it

The icon sting deserved to go out on top the guy has always been great with the guys coming up and helping all who asked i dont think there is a single wrestler that has ever had a bad thing to say about him

I think this is one of the rarer cases it's okay for him to win his final match. Also he has still successfully passed the torch to Darby Allen

Sting made a career puting others over. Most of his title raighns were short. He earned that final win.

I wasn't bothered by the win. I was bothered by the death match. That is not the match Sting was known for.

Think about it this way. He did put a younger talent over. Darby was falling in the background of AEW. He got mentioned when they needed a filler spot. Sting by his side helped him move into the bigger picture. The bucks have had an amazing career as well & didn't need the rub. So Sting got to go out on top as the icon he is, Darby got the rub that he needed, and the bucks got to be the heels that they are playing well. Worked out good in my opinion

It's not unclear... Sting was more than willing to have the Young Bucks win the titles, but they did not want to be put over as they had so much respect for Sting that they wanted him to go out on top. If you really knew anything about the match, you would have already known that.

Young Bucks didn't need a bump, they already over and great tag team. This was about Sting and retirement leaving at the top where he belongs.

Sting deserved a win - no use following a formula just for the sake of it. He did the job for HHH and Rollins in WWE and thrn got to go out with a victory in AEW. The right end to the story i would say.

Tony didn't want people pi$$ed like in wwe when Undertaker lost to Brock.

The youngbucks doesn't need a damn win and darby needed the win to elevate him so it was one of the smarter moves by aew now stings kids can come in and save allen and keep it pushing

Darby has been a minor name compared to the young bucks you can't tell me where else you've seen Darby outside of aew? sting and Darby won ,did he not put over a younger talent in Darby,Allen is a young talent that needs W's, the young bucks can take a loss as established names,on top of that if it wasn't for review shows and highlight reels I wouldn't know what's what in any of the current promotions (aew,Tna,wwe,know,etc...)I don't watch any of it anymore so a mark for who or what? ,Also it's You're a mark !!

It was the Young Bucks idea and it took weeks to get sting to go with the finish!! 1 no one saw the win coming and kept the match unpredictable and surprising. Also think back to Sting final match in WWE with a horrific injury and the match kept going so he could take the pin

I would prefer if every retirement match was a win, putting the next guys over shouldn't come at the cost of your last match. Look at Kurt Angle for example, his last match was against Baron Corbin, and his career has been straight dog farts since. What was even the point? Or they should at least have their last match against somebody they've mentored as sort of a "passing of the torch" moment.

No that’s really a WWE thing which is to devalue your talent before they leave a Vince thing not everything has to be the way WWE are and do things sting went out like he should have

There is no controversy. Sting has done business for many others many times. Win or lose if the match isn’t a squash, the opponent “goes over” in some way at this point just by being in a match with Sting. Just as they would with Taker, Flair, HHH, Austin, Rock, etc. Also anyone old enough and smart enough knows the Wrestlemania match between Sting and HHH wasn’t between them, it was WCW/NWO vs WWE/DX; with Vinny Mac saying “I beat Billion Dollar Ted COMPLETELY!”

Yeah because Undertaker put Brock over beating the streak instead of a younger talent who needed the push. Sting following in those footsteps.

He never lost at AEW because that's easy mode

So my guess is this; WCW 2001; winning but the company not being able to continue. TNA; losing to EC3 with a contract conflict. WWE; losing but due to injury in the match with Seth Rollins. AEW; winning and going out on his own terms.

Sting has more time in the Ring, then the young bucks. And if anything, I don't care for 'PEV'.

A wrestler does not always have to lose his final match. Plus, this keeps wrestling unpredictable and that is what wrestling is supposed to be. Unpredictable.

Not at all, wrestling is like a soap opera, there needs to be build up and drama, it creates stakes, the bucks aren't serious wrestlers, the bucks are a mid card act and stings retirement looks like garbage

Il tell you why. Tony khan wanted to right the wrong that WWE did to make sting loose two of his main matches before retiring from the wwe. Wwe portrayed sting as a looser, whereas AEW allowed him to go out on a high as he deserved to!
