Ok...I've been listening to Sting for decades. HOW IS THIS COLLAB A SURPRISE? Sting is only the progenitor of Ska and has done reggae for years. He's had reggae artists on his records many a time. For anyone who is shocked about this, just listen to some of Sting's early stuff. Walking On The Moon is a good example.

I should've prefaced that this was actually to people my age and older---there are people my age that didn't know about Sting. I get that the younger generation are not gonna know---but I am surprised that others my age don't know how versatile Sting is and the reggae has always been there.

I'm only 13 and grown adults have literally yelled at me about how I don't deserve to wear t-shirts for old bands because I didn't see them live. I hate music elitism, we're just trying to find sounds our ears like.

You can wear whatever band t-shirt you want and it's stupid that because you didn't see them live you don't qualify! He came to live in the United States (Brooklyn, NY) from Jamaica in his early teens. His accent dissipated quite a bit, lol
