Even in the 70's the jobs on the oil rigs paid reasonably well, compared to similar jobs on the mainland. But it was dangerous, and claustrophobic work, and the the Derricks were institutional in regimes (as they had to be) and more closely resembled Prisons in operations.

as someone that lives in glasgow the accents are amazing always love games with scottish voice actors

The TV series for this ["The Rig" (2023)] was amazing. The architecture of this rig is just about a perfect match. I hope more TV episodes are on the way!

'Still Wakes the Deep's' cinematic aesthetic and ominous atmosphere set in rough seas is fantastic. I avoid first-person perspective games like the plague, but the dense Scottish burr may seriously change my mind; I absolutely love the accent and colorful vernacular (Hmm, Scottishisms)

I found the lack of personnel on an oil rig unrealistic to the point of it being similar to an abandoned rig. Yes i know this is a horror game but experience with the lack of people around just doesn't seem right.

Soooo...i take that something was in that oil that the forman or whoever said before drilling "wasnt right"
