Both my partner and I wrestle and this is our oldest childs 1st year of competition at 5 years old. Trying to juggle our 4 aged 5, 4, 2 and 11 months so that we can both train is quite difficult. In New Zealand the training is rather slack, the kids have training 1 night a week so we take our older 2 to that then our training is straight after. Then the seniors also have training on a Monday night so my partner gets to go to that and I stay home with the kids. It's about a 40 min drive to the Next club and their 2 training nights alternate with ours so we are trying to work things out to get to those also but it hasn't worked out yet. Also my partner works a full time job because I'm at home with the kids. There is no money in the sport in New Zealand. For us both to go to comps overseas it is going to be super expensive because there is no funding. But we will do it because we both want to be at the next common wealth games. You, Dake and Helen Maroulis are my favorite wrestlers and I watch all your matches on KZread. Thank you for being such an inspiration 💜 I hope one day our paths will cross so I can shake your hand. Unlikely but possible 😅.
