The Cafe let's you actually order food and with the school, you can receive free plant starts from the teacher.

They had the facilities in Happy Home Designer on the 3DS too and just brought it over to the switch with HHP, but I love the improvements they made from the last game.

I usually always pick what wallpaper I want to use or an item to base the rest of the renovation around. I made my restaurant a lil fancy with that pretty curtain wallpaper 😍

a little fun fact since you put the train wallpaper at first: there's actually a restaurant in Milan that's located in an old timey tram and it does go around Castello Sforzesco, in the city centre 😊

i didn't really want to make the kitchen larger, but i did make the dining room the biggest size! i like to keep rooms as small as possible typically because i think clutter looks better

Kitchen first was my move, too, I just had NO idea what to do with the dining area 😅 mine resembles more of a casual, family type restaurant (could be read like one of those buffet style restaurants tbh)

I did an upscale Asian fusion restaurant with the cityscape wallpaper and Moroccan wall accent. Moroccan lanterns everywhere, lots of mood lighting. The best and prettiest food items are various Asian cuisine items, and I definitely wanted all the fish items in the kitchen, so... Voila! The kitchen is my favorite!

I’m definitely happy about HHP but… the original had a hotel, concert hall, office and also a second shop plus a department store sndnsjssksk I do miss those. One of the home exteriors was a flat roof which is great for certain builds like office, apartments etc but we can’t even do that nsdnjjd Still love the dlc though, don’t get me wrong haha

You probably already know but you can change the size of all the rooms at this point. You can ask lottie to renovate and make the kitchen bigger if you wanted to fit more stuff!

@@Bpuddy_ no, I think that’s another $5 a month, but to me it’s only worth it to download codes.. what you can probably do is just buy one month and download all the codes you want in that time frame then cancel your subscription (if you can’t afford the $5 every month, anyway)

My restaurant is like a kitschy horror themed restaurant named Dreary Delights with the goth sheep and dragon as outer staff and the Octo boys as kitchen staff. It sits right next to Hot Topic 😆

You can’t make them big and multiple areas like before? On happy home designer you could make the hallways and multiple rooms I made a classroom a cafeteria and the restaurant I made had a kitchen in a separate room

How were you able to do the accent wall both behind the chalkboard and in the back of the room in the school? I'm only able to have 1 accent wall 😭

all of my facilities have been named after places in tokyo ghoul. the cafe is anteiku, restaurant is :re ( ik it’s the cafe in :re but i can’t have two cafes it’s not right) and the hospital is kanou general! my restaurant is a sushi bar 😍😍

It's a good idea to give yourself and the vacationers room in the cafe, restaurant and future builds, because you can recruit new clients from those locations as well. It can be very frustrating to see someone you want to build a home for seated in the restaurant and not be able to get to them!

Pro tip: Make sure you can access all the seats or else you won't be able to ask a villager sitting there to decorate their home! (I accidentally put a chair in the corner thats blocked by another chair)
