Voidwalker is a Warlock 1 Mana minion: 1/3 taunt. It sees competitive play. A 1 Mana 1/3 beast is run competitively by a tempo deck with no way to use the beast tag. Mana wyrm is a 1 Mana 1/3 that PERMANENTLY GROWS every time you play a spell in the class with a bunch of cheap and efficient burn spells. If the attack gain was temporary like Mana Addict it would likely still see play

That's what I always think too. If I'm going to lose to some scumbag deck, I'd rather it gets done in 3 minutes rather then suffering for 20-25 minutes before a control deck gets around to finally killing you.

the rng gods were definitely with you vs the odd warrior. I play tempo mage exclusively on ladder and that odd warrior is the bane of my existence!

Yknow I looked it over again and you're right. With the cosmic anomaly fireball would deal 8 and frostbolt 5, setting up lethal. Weird he didn't realize, (the chat usually spams missed lethal omegalul).

There are 327 spells in Standard currently, getting Ultimate Infestation is a 1/327 (0.3% chance). There were four possible targets (1/4, 25% chance). The chance of getting Ultimate Infestation and hitting the Shroom Brewer was 0.07%.

@King Crimson. wait it was lower, as you must also account for a possibility of not drawing scroll of wonders. Trump had 18 cards in the deck, two of which were scrolls of wonders. Aluneth drew three cards so a chance of draw was 2/18+2/17+2/16, roughly 35%. sow the aproximate chance was 0,0245%

I think it's because he was still drawing the 5 cards from UI and Evolving Spores was 1 of the 5, and the Ghoul spawns after the 5 cards.

Safe craft, good win-more card in just about any kind of mage, although definitely not a must. You can beat quest rogue very easily anyway

Aluneth IS important because you tend to empty your hand very quickly. I don't know. Maybe Book of Spectres? Or Deck of Wonders for extra memes.

Aluneth and Luna are the only draw engines. You need Aluneth, sadly

Seems like a better time than ever to play Odd Warrior or things that heal to gas out decks like this one. There's something really satisfying when I have 13 cards in my deck 20 armor and the tempo mage has run out of gas. I suppose if you play Frost Lich Janna that makes it a tougher match, but also hurts you in the aggro matchup.

Missed lethal at 27:50 with frostbolt 17 - 5(ghoul) - 6+2 (cosmic + fireball) - 3+2(frost + cosmic) = -2

No. Questing Adventurer is too slow. You would have to replace actually valuable tempo cards for it. Not worth it

No because by the time you play a lot of cards - you are finishing the game. Tons of cards are played every turn to get max tempo (hence - tempo mage). Questing is value (=anti-tempo) card. So it will probably lower the winrate. Also you play a lot of cards only with cosmic and apprentice - that's 6 mana booked already.

But that's wat i want it to do. I want it to close the games where I can't dish out enough dmg (Druid/Warrior). I just tested it out and it works fine. I had a list with mirror entity so i just removed that and added the Questing. But i may have gotten lucky with the Questing tho.

Brandon Jonathan you gotta take in account that 1. You should base your opinion on statistics of a card in a given deck. Even frost lich is acceptable here, but ultimately unnecessary because it doesnt perform well in 80% of match-ups. If you often run into other 20% you cant win without it - you better off switching the deck. 2. You should compare it to the card you replaced it with. Is it more usefull more of the time? Usually you wont end up noticing if you dont pay attention to such comparison.

Charles Davidson not really, turn one worm gave you +70% winrates against a lot of decks Ironically on the draw it could be even better as worm coin worm was often a hand that spiralled and dealt out so much damage it was near unbeatable However beyond turn 1 and in multiples the card was totally beatable and I think a better nerf would have to make it a 1/2 or even a 1/1 for 1

Definitely seems fair. I love getting matched against all these tempo not-auto-pilot Mages.

Missed lethal in the last game. If he takes the frostbolt he had 13 from fireball bolt with cosmic and 5 from the minion.

Missed lethal on the Warlock? Frostbolt 5 damage from the Glyph, Fireball 8 damage and 5 attack from the 5/5 when he was on 17 health

I don't have aluneth, can I replace it or play this deck without it?

Best card in the deck. You can play without. 2nd arcane intellect or luna are good card draw. Arcane keysmith is good aswell.

you can play without it if you have Luna but it’s a core card for sure. I’d recommend not playing it if you don’t have Luna since card draw becomes an issue

I am an odd warrior main and that second gaze made me kick Trump's face in the face.

This was suppose to be the most op deck in all game right now... but it has a problem, the lack of good burns, you can simply run it in wild just add ice lance and forgotten torch... but I think in wild has good counters...

The drawing was part of the UI effect, which happens before it summons the ghoul.

This deck brought me up to rank 4, but I can't play it atm, it sucks against control decks such as warrior or druid - they stack infinite amoutn of armor and I run out of steam long before I can kill em. It is decent against aggro decks but nothing else, sadly.

At around 1:15 why does the Explosive Runes only deal 4 damage to the Rogue? it dealt 0 to the Wax Elemental, since it has divine shield, so the remainder of its 6 total damage should have been 6. Does it subtract the health of the minion being plaid when calculating the damage it deals to the hero? That would fit with the Wax Elemental's 2 health. But that would make the card text quite misleading. Is this a known interaction?

Yes, it’s been shown that the Explosive Runes only takes away a minions divine shield, and then deals damage to the hero equal to the spell damage minus the minion’s health. So if you play Tirion, all explosive runes will do is remove his divine shield.

Runes is coded to deal damage to a minion equal to its Health and any other damage to face

bird3713 I still think it should work differently though. Implosion doesn't generate any Imps if used on a divine shield minion as the spell does 0 damage. Either the Divine Shield absorbs all damage, in wich case Explosive Runes shouldn't deal any damage to the face or it causes the spell to deal 0 damage in wich case it should deal 6 to face. The interaction right now doesn't make any sense.

R0DisG0D, I couldn't agree more. It seems they had programmed Explosive Runes before they wrote its card text. Then they probably couldn't find a way to explain it in a short and simple way that would fit on the card. Das erinnert mich an das erste mal, als ich den Refrain von "der Graf" richtig verstanden habe. Hat den ganzen Song für mich kaputt gemacht :/

One of the best decks. You just go up the ladder so fast! But I don’t really like tempo decks. I enjoy control/combo decks but they are too slow. (Finally somebody played mage)

Control decks are very bad for laddering. Even if u have 75%+ winrate it's still not good enough.. i wouldn't recommend them. Play a tempo aggro deck for legend or at least Rank 1-5 and then play the combo/controls u desire :) That's IF you wanna be productive of course.. u can just give 0 shits about the ladder and just enjoy the game.

I don't understand why I can't win with this deck. Seems like I always go up against zoo and odd pali, which trump never did.

you misplayed the turn before the last turn of the last game, I am pretty sure. I think the line cinder, cinder, fireball would have been better, since it had a good chance of killing him, and if it was not lethal it also always would have cleared the board.

No, the Explosive Runes deal dmg equal to the minion's health (only it got absorbed by the divine shield), and the rest of the dmg to the face.

Divine shield only block damage. The minion has only 2 health so enemy hero still take 4 damage. If divine shield minion is 6 health then the damage is fully blocked
