STIHL's Brand NEW HSA 60 Hedge Trimmer!
Ойын-сауық
We check out the brand new HSA 60 hedge trimmer from STIHL! Within this video, Josh compares the existing model, the HSA 57, to the brand new HSA 60 to see what features have been upgraded.
Cordless hedge trimmer with very powerful cutting performance for demanding applications, such as trimming bushes and tall hedges. Laser-cut, diamond-ground and hardened blades, blade geometry in a patented teardrop shape for perfect cuts and a healthy hedge. Effortless and ergonomic working thanks to optimal power tool balance, rotatable multi-function handle, loop handle with inner switch, and STIHL anti-vibration system. Anti-block system for easy change of the cutting blades' rotational direction in the event of blockages. Working time with recommended AK 10 battery is up to 70 minutes.

Great video Josh. Love seeing the advancements made by STIHL. I hope they take the rotating handle technology to the gas hedge trimmers!

Hi Josh! does this machine have variable speed trigger? In other words can you speed up or slow down the cutter speed based on how much you depress the trigger? Enjoying all the vidoes btw!! keep up the good stuff

I jus bought one I swore it did but mine stays the same speed
Nice job and review Josh, the camera work and editing could use some help though. 🤣😲🤣
Awesome video 🙌 would be interested to know what the difference is between the HSA 60 vs the HSA 100?

It’s a different line of batteries. Homeowner version (hsa 60) is the AK line of batteries while the professional (hsa 100) take the AP line of batteries
How does this compare with the hsa 40?
Is the latest Stihl catalogue out in the dealerships yet? Can't wait to have an art deco if it is.

Hi Derek, yes it is available now 👍🏼
Is the HSA 60 powerful enough to cut a 1cm or 1.5cm branch?

1.5cm like a butter
HSA 60 or MAKITA Duh602z ?
In the back half of the video you compare the new one to the old model and you mention the old model being the hsa57 a couple of times, is there such a machine? or should you be saying hsa56 instead. Also You could have mentioned the cutting speed, and the difference to the previous hsa56 as the new model is 200 rpm faster.

Good spot! Yes we got that wrong 😂🤦🏻♂️ well done for noticing. From your name, I’m guessing your a commercial user so would recommend the HSA100 rather than the domestic HSA60

@@MachineryNationYes I just watched The Fully Charged Gardeners review and Jason Gardener of the hsa 100 and came across this/your video in the side list. The Hsa100 is not yet available here in AU but will be looking to buy as I have a few ap style batteries.
Good review, I have to admit the battery hedge trimmers are a game changer, so much less vibration 👍 the top handle saws are a bit of alright aswell 🙌 They can keep the rest of the battery gear though I'm sticking petrol 😂

@@MachineryNation its the ease of use mate, a mean use a old hs45 for 2 hours and your tapping out 😅! But I don't and can't see where battery is wanted elsewhere, strimmers/brushcutters, blowers, saws, all better on petrol! I have a sh86 blower from 98 n it's still strong enough. A run bg56 most time as there cheaper than 86 same power
Is the rotating handle better for your hand or is it just a gadget, we've been used to normal handles for ever :-)

It creates a lot less fatigue on your wrist when cutting the sides of hedges but it that not all people use them.

You really need the rotating handle because of all the stupiid switches required to operate this unit. I can see having a throttle and dead-man on one hand and another switch on the ring but also being required to press the thumb switch is really overkill, and it's not super easy without twisting the handle. When holding ths unit overhead, especially with the added weight of an adequate battery, it's no funn trying to flip the thumb switch. I've got serious buyers reorse after spending $488 for this unit with a second battery. Wish I could have rented it first.
I just bought the 100 ... A bit disappointed by the speed ... Since I got the MSA300 chainsaw, my expectation may have been a little too high since ...
NICE! I wish I had hedges. Do you guys still do the giveaways? If so please enter me for an Eliet goodie bag.

If by some miracle my HS81R'S or 522HDR75X die, I may concider a battery replacement! For lighter duty I use an HS45 & 122HD60, all excellent machines! The 45 does vibrate like a bastard though, and is extremely loud! 😂

And the 10 battery is basically like the tiny ink cartridges you get when you buy an ink jet printer. A 30 is required to get any real work done. It's considerably heavier.

Why would you buy this when you could buy the HSA 100 ?
