Just got one from my stepdad that passed away in May. I've taken it about 40% apart but had to find someone who knew the whole process to continue. Thanks! Very informative video.

I’m glad it helped you out some, don’t do what I do and put it all back together just to realize you did not put the cir-clips in. Have to tear it down all over again and start over.

@@JKSawShop I'm usually pretty meticulous, and even after I thought a thing through a hundred times, I couldn't count how many times I "oopsed" a project just like that. Despite what they say if you have parts leftover after a teardown and rebuild you did something wrong!

Holy God in Heaven! If my wife was able to watch this video beyond 14:10 she'd never let me bring another saw into the house. Priceless! And not a beat was missed. This, my friends, is a Guy's Video if ever there was one. My favourite bit is where piston scoring like the Grand Canyon is going to get fixed with a bit of sandpaper. Honestly, that's what I would do, too. All these other vids where guys are looking into cylinders that look cleaner than my coffee mug and declaring them to be scrap because the crosshatching isn't perfect, or there's glaze or whatever... This JK guy is practical. But I couldn't just keep taking the saw apart with those pets crawling all over the place... I'd stop and clean it up along the way. Good vid. Don't know if you did a "part 2" but I'm going to look for it right now. Thanks!

Thanks for your video! I have a ms440.But a agent harn me to not buy the 441 because have more height in piston because 2 mix 4 transfers and like 372 x torq that is short in reliabity. But yes you have a good saw good rpm and torq mayby bad gas or low mix better good premium mineral mil 1-40 racio like 1990 say big hug from Oporto Portugal Andre Campos

Thank you for watching, I received this 441 as a donation to the channel. It was already not a runner. The idea for the design of the cylinder is because of E.P.A. emissions regulations.
