Stihl, Husqvarna, or NEO-TEC Chainsaw Best For??? | NEO-TEC NS892 92CC

We got a new chainsaw for the Homestead. The NEOTEC NS892 Chainsaw seems to be just what we need for the homestead. After shopping around the big brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, and Echo, we soon understood a big saw can cost the price of a used car. I ran across NEO-TEC on Amazon and started looking at reviews; I was surprised. It shipped straight to the front door. Follow us along as we take this beast of a saw out of the box and put it to use. I am sure we will be felling trees for years with this saw. Stihl, Husqvarna, or NEO-TEC; Time will tell if we made the correct decision.

The correct number of chainsaws to own is defined by the equation n+1 where n=the number of chainsaws currently owned! It works with guitars too!!

I have the little top handle neotec and it’s a pretty solid little saw. For the saw and extended 3 year warranty it was like $150. So if it breaks down within 4 years they’ll end me a new one. Cant really beat that for the price.

@@TonysTractorAdventure It's really well put together and fits my Husqvarna 20" Rancher bar and chain well. I had to step drill out the hole to be a bit bigger in the bar for the chain tensioner peg to fit through in the clutch cover, but other than that there was nothing wrong with how the parts fit together. I just ordered a large tree felling bar spike kit for the saw so that I can have spikes on both side of the bar to make it easier to rock the saw while cutting through thick pieces of logs.

I've put together about a dozen of the farmertec ms660 clones. They're a pretty decent saw. I replaced the decompression buttons with a real Stihl part, because the farmertec button was garbage, but the rest of the parts were decent. I never had any complaints from the people I sold them to. The one I kept has lots of hours on an Alaskan mill and still works good.

@@TonysTractorAdventure I built the saws over a couple of years. Some of the first ones I built had bad cylinder castings, which farmertec replaced, and poorer quality plastic parts. The quality on each new batch of saws I ordered got better and better, to the point where the decompression button was the only issue. I stopped building them a couple of years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if the quality has improved even more since then and the problem with the decompression button has been fixed.

Tony, checkout Cornucopia Farmstead. The very first time I ever seen one of these brands was on his channel a few years back. Ric, is a true timberman with good hardwork ethics and an abundance of knowledge. His channel is a lot like yours. Check his channel out.

I think you may be using your integrity as the base line. My integrity is not for sale. Every sponsor on my channel agrees I can say what ever I want. If they don't, then I will not show their product. I have had this chainsaw for a year now, and it has performed flawlessly. I did tune it after break in.

Rich is good for breaking in a chainsaw. Heck when milling I run them rich indefinitely, lower rpm cooler temps. Running a saw hot out of the gate or when milling really shortens the life of a saw. Rich is safe, lean can destroy a saw on a single tree.

@@TonysTractorAdventure I would put my 394 up against it any day. Clone of the original, from what I have seen with the clone saws longevity isn't there. Not a big fan of importing from China either.

I bet you are a bigger fan of import than you think. Look at your phone, coffee maker, battery powered tools, TV, computer, microwave, toaster, etc. As for longevity, time will tell. We are not doing this every day. I live in the world which is.

For a 90 something cc it doesn’t seem to be that stout of a saw , maybe it is but seems to be laggin in the power ratio for what it is , I’ve ran 90 cc saws and they were WAY more powerful sounding but like I said I’d have to run it I reckon
