It no longer looks like macrame though- it looks caked up and funny! When you do it with hairspray it still looks like macrame and soft ,even though it stiffens...

No, it's not permanent. After washing, we have to repeat the same process.

In one cup of water mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch

Question…. When I brush the corn starch on my macrame starts to curl up… why?

Hi, Hope you are doing well. While putting the corn starch, comb the feather and keep pressing the feather also. As you have seen in my video, after putting the corn starch, I am continuously combing it and also pressing the feather from the other side of the comb so that it might not curl up and be contacted.
