Nice detail on the install. I've always liked those lights and wish mine came with them.

Nice. Very adventurous you are. I wish someone made a side turn indicator that replaced the 'WRX' fender garnish. Sux I don't IG, I miss out on a lot of things.

I don’t think anyone does but I’ve seen people wire up led’s in those vents. Google search it, I’m sure you’ll find it.

Will me door still have that random harness you tapped into even if I don’t have the defrosting mirrors? Mines literally the bassiest or base models

I had to wire them up on my own because subaru doesn’t make connector harnesses.

What type of wire is that and what are those things you put on the ends of them?

Do they also stay on the whole time when you turn your lights on as well?

Is the mirror cap any different really or could you Dremel your original until it fit the turn signal?

I would never attempt to cut my mirror caps. If you mess up you’ve ruined your stock painted cap and then you’ll have to buy the other ones anyway. They are $35 bucks a piece and all you would have to do is grab some vinyl and wrap them.

I have a 2018 Forester base model. Do you think if it works on my car too?

It might, you would have to open the door panel and see if there are wiring sports available in the door harness.

Would this be similar on a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek?

It’s possible, however I’m not 100% sure on that one. I don’t think the Crosstrek had a turn signal option on any of the models.

@@CoopNation I know someone with a 2015-2016 hybrid crosstrek and it has it but that one is a few years newer.

Where did u buy the turn signal and how much were they

I got them back when I worked for Subaru. They weren’t that expensive with my employee discount lol.

@@CoopNation I was able to find them on parts.subaru.com. There are also websites now in 2020 that sell the entire kit of parts necessary (including painted covers from Japan) and you can do custom turn signals (like OLM). Also very nice because they're already pinned to go into the factory connector as well 👍. Depends on what the buyer is wanting to do 🙂.

That’s awesome! When I bought the components they didn’t have anything like that listed for sale.

Good lawd this is a lot of extra work. Dude just buy STi side mirrors. Plug in. Done.

Not everyone has the money to buy the STI mirrors, so this is for those on a budget. If you can buy STI mirrors then more power to you.

... Mirror signals aren't a necessity; however, for something this little, it should be standard on all trims to include the base. I don't miss fogs, sunroof, or 7" SL in my base, but I do miss mirror signals. Mirror turns are a safety feature, so 1 should not be 'penalized' for choosing the base trim because they don't want a sunroof.

I agree. I have an STI myself and have the turn signals. LED headlights are another safety feature that should be standard regardless of trim.
