The Sinulog Festival is a traditional celebration in Cebu City, Philippines, that started in 1980. Culminating on the third Sunday of January to honor the Santo Niño (Child Jesus). The word 'Sinulog' was derived from the Cebuano adverb "sulog” which means “like water current movement". It describes the forward-backward Sinulog dance steps. The Sinulog dance is performed to the beat of the drum. And it's thought to be the first of the most well-known festivals in the country.
In this Sinulog season, join us as we, Culinary 2A, give you the vibe, beat, and feel of Sinulog fever.
As we say in Cebu, "Sinulog, Ishagit og kusog."
