2024 still watched, still admired, still respected, still adored. That says alot considering he's been gone almost as long as the man was alive. That's because the man is tge master.

He will always be remembered forever as one of the best, he never sold out, refused to compromise his integrity on being a real blues guitarist even though he could play along with anything. Singlehandedly resurged the genre into mainstream, so today you hear almost every player do his licks especially in the country genres

@@basspro870 Absolutely but he wouldn't have admitted it if his life depended on it. I admire Jimmie but I've tried really hard to see his mojo and it just doesn't happen. He's damn good nut not great IMO.
Of all the interviews that I've seen of him, he's always humble. He shows respect to those before him that has touched his life. Through all the demons he battled he was always humble. Other than his great musical abilities, he kept to his humble roots. That's an extremely important lesson he has taught to all of us. RIP SRV
I miss you Stevie 😔

Watching him play and listening to his music.. you can see what an amazing talent he is! Watching an interview... you can see what a unique human being he truly was!!
SRV is nothing if not real. (Sober or not) His genuineness shines through.
He makes it all look so easy.
He was very smart about music and the players.

Especially with blues. It has such a history,... I don't think it's something you can just walk into without having an awareness and appreciation for the history.
I love Stevie Ray Vaughn so much. Such a unbelievable musician and a incredible human. I am a addict of drugs and alcohol and I understand that world. It is so fucked up he got clean and passed away. Life is a trip and I am so happy SRV is apart of my life. One day I hope to clean up.

Love this man. 💯 ....
He was not clean yet that year, but the talent is overwhelming. So glad that he cleaned up completely a few years later which took full medical help for months then became the best clean guitarist at his peak as we remember him.
I like the way he pauses and articulates his answers very thoughtfully. I watched all four parts here with interest. I love his guitar playing and the interviewer is charming as well, her voice is very attractive.

Stevie was such a strong guitar player, he broke one of his strings playing a demo of a song on an interview 😂❤
What a blessed opportunity for the interviewer & others involved in this. I sure hoped they realized & appreciated it.
Stevie has such articulate and in depth answers that the interviewer totally ignores and doesn’t have responses. They just want exclusive shots of him playing material they can use
I wish I had known about him when I was younger. Would have seen him in concert. That was my dream after my brother introduced his music to me. God Bless their souls ❤️✌️

I sure glad my Aunt Jenny brought me to Audubon Zoo in NOLA to see Stevie in concert 1986. I wish I could track down any video from that concert.
This is a Treasure.
Wow, this is a showcase of his talent and versatility
The slow playing around the eight minute mark. I really liked that. Slow blues makes me like the blues. For me, a little blues a long way. Stevie Ray is so respectful of those who went before him.

I've seen this interview a thousand times. How have I never seen the unedited one? This is amazing!!!!!
SRV..is so humble..this interview is nice to see him play up close in doing these solos..but Imo..the interviewer wasn't shy about asking him to do guitar solos..slightly irritating just seemed just a bit stepping out lines here..could have asked more in depth questions...!!!! SRV..May be gone but not forgotten 🙏!!!!
I know he's super hammered here but man what a sweet pleasant smile @ 14:14 :) he is missed dearly. Such a humble person so much fun to hear all his interviews. My fingers are itching to play guitar after seeing him namedrop all those blues players. Just the utterance of Texas blues and all those players evokes such a great feeling. true blazing guitar madness is all about the heart and soul.

5:38 SRV goes Super Sayan & the rings & watch glint because they know he’s lighting shi up 🔥
Every time I play with my 3 friends and I get to a good mix of drugs and alcohol, I'm not saying that substance abuse makes you a great guitar player, but I can say every time I'm upset by my whole life including while I play some of his pieces I don't just hear my guitar and in my band there are only 4 of us and I'm the only guitarist, but having said that it's as if I were not alone playing and he was there with me, one day I hope to clean myself up and become better, by expensive guitarist
What a big loss...
Steve did his best here & I'm sure he would have rather been elsewhere but when your going to the top you got do these silly interviews which i think he's kind of like, what you want me to do it over again !!! No wonder he was drinking whiskey & a bit stoned . I was surprised one guy he was good friends with & grew up with was Rocky Athas one of Texas best players . They went to school together & played together during their younger days . Steve never mentions him as one of the great local Texas Blues players. Pretty sure he was glad when this interview was over. Also as he keeps mentioning Jessie I assume he's talking the the late Jesse Ed Davis but the gal has no clue & never asks him about him. We know he was not a Texan but the man was an icon even in his early days. A good interview just because she lets Stevie tell it like it is.
I curious how he got so good
His brother was not in the same galaxy as him
