My brother got to see SRV I would guess about thirty times, if he played five shows in or around Detroit my brother went to every one of them. I never got to see SRV live but thank God for videos. I know it's not the same but I will settle for them. Side note: Hiram Bullock used to play in the David Letterman Show Band. R.I.P to both SRV and HB. Now I'm going to watch your BB King reaction. Crossfire was written by Double Trouble and Stevie Ray Vaughan's only #1 hit of his 7 yr career which to me was insane because there were so many great songs from Stevie Ray. Life Without You, Texas Flood, Tightrope, Pride And Joy just to name a few. With him being in The Austin Music Hall Of Fame, The Blues Hall Of Fame, 6 Grammys, 10 Austin Music Awards, 5 W.C.Handy Awards, Entertainer Of The Year, Instermental Of The Year and in 2015 The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. In only a 7 yr span you would think he would have had more #1 hits. STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN IS THE GOAT

Man i love this version of Crossfire. Solid musicians.... Love Stevie Ray ❤
I got to see Stevie 4 times and every time was magic
Man...I miss Stevie Ray, so damned much. He was so frickin' talented and had so much more to show us. All these years later and I still listen to him! Ain't a lot of Bluesmen that come close to him. But my favourite musicians/band are on the wall to your right! Rush Still Rules!
I'm spent! Mind blown as always when I see me some Stevie Ray! Thank you Jamel! 👏😎
He was a Phenomen 💙🥰🤘 My Love of Blues began at 11 yrs old, my cousin brought me to see...JOHNNY WINTER, Mean Town blues was absolutely breathtaking !
And that, is how you do THAT. We miss you SO much, RIP SRV.
Night Music was only on for a short time, and it was on late Friday night, so I didn't watch more than a few shows. Thanks for reacting to this because I've never seen this and it's a great performance! The host was David Sanborn, a sax player who was a regular guest on Late Nite w/David Letterman.

i think think guitatist Hirem buluk player with paul shaffer on the letterman show for years
He is THE G.O.A.T. I was there that fateful night, August 26th, 1990. Clapton was the headliner but I went for SRV.
Just seeing Stevie in action in this video with his beloved #1 made my day :-)
So much blues and soul oozing out of this man...GOAT with the guitar...🔥🔥
This entire album was FIRE. RIP Stevie Ray
Damn I miss Stevie Ray Vaughn. I bought the Couldn't Stand The Weather cassette tape in a bargain bin for a dollar because it had the cover of Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) and was an instant fan. I called my friend up and told him about the album and he became an instant fan as well. R.I.P to BB as well.
I was 20 when Stevie died in 1990, and with the one exception of Jim Henson earlier that year, no celebrity death has ever upset me more.
Rock them blues! Wow, great performance of a terrific song.
Thanks for picking this out. I am a big fan and had never seen this performance. I've seen another part of this show when he plays with Maria Mckee. Loved the comment he is going to make your face turn.
Not only was Stevie Ray awesome but the band was bloody brilliant too. Guys that was a proper JAM
This is one of my favorite Stevie Ray Vaughan songs among some others. Thanks for doing this reaction since no matter which videos you react to whether they are music or even Bill Burr or other comedy reactions I enjoy your great sense of humor when you react to almost anything it's still fun and entertaining to watch your videos. Jamel is the funniest reactor since other reactors channels don't make me laugh as much as Jamel does nearly every time I watch his videos.
There is always time to listen to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Love it !
Great reaction! Tom Barney, the bass player, toured with Steely Dan starting in the early 2000’s!
The whole band and of course Stevie were all fire!!!! Incredible :)
It never ceases to amaze me how something that other people would find difficult to do seems so effortless to him & other phenomenal musicians. We are so blessed to have these musical geniuses living amongst us.
This is the same show you saw Jeff Healey on, hosted by alto sax legend David Sanborn. Both Sanborn and guitarist H.Bullock played in the band on David Letterman's Late Show in the 80's. If you look up Sanborn it lists around 50 albums he has played on, besides his own albums, and writing the music for 3 Lethal Weapons movies.

Glad you wrote this, saves me time 😁 Seen plenty from this show with Miles Davis, Marcus Miller, Bootsy etc. 'Straight to the Heart' by David Sanborn and Hiram on guitar.. So cool! 🎷 🎸 🎶 👍🏼
Clean & sober & still played like a man on fire! 💕🔥🎸✌
My fave Stevie Ray song. It just rocks.
The legend is that it was hard to sell front row SRV show seats....because people would burst into flames from his playing.😎
One of my favorites from SRV. Awesome performance for sure!
Never got to see him live; but I can imagine hearing him as you pass a roadhouse he's blastin'.
The host is the great David Sanborn. Most of the musicians on stage were legends in their own right from various Jazz Fusion bands, solo work, and hundred of sessions each across multiple genres.
Man oh man. Thanks for the react. Vaughan is incredible. But yet there it is. So it's true.
Back in elite 80s early 90s I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan at the University of Connecticut for spring weekend simply incredible and boy does time fly
I love this clip, have to go back every now and then and revisit it. Stevie killed it here and the band was killer as well, great performance.
Absolutely loved this, it was fire!
No one wears a hat better than SRV.

True! My son just told me the other day, "I want a hat like Stevie Ray Vaughan". :)
If you're fully listening, you will have stank face during SRV's performances. Man, he was amazing!
my favorite of his. such a talent. Good band
Srv and BB king done a show together and they told Stevie that BB would open for him and he got furious and told them BB King doesn't open for anybody and he done that with all the old blues legends
He was meant to play guitar and he did it so effortlessly. Some musicians are way too arrogant about their skill level but, Stevie always allowed the whole band to shine.
Man, talk about the real deal. All the band members knew it, and they were great musicians themselves....but SRV was once in a lifetime kind of player.
Omar Hakim is one of the all time great drummers
Love luv love Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Everyone on stage earned a paycheck that night❤
Magician ...pure and simple ☘
I haven't heard this one in a while. Awesome song!❤
That was one very tight set! Wow!...such greatness gathered on one stage...these kid's play very well together! Ty brother Jamel
I loved a comment that BB King said of SRV when he first say him play " who the hell is this white boy" that coming from BB says it all
In the first song, that bass player was slapping the $%^& outta that thing. He popped his B string! They all sounded great together!
Aloha 🌺 Thank you! Wonderful to see talented people jive! 🥰
I absolutely adore Stevie Ray Vaughan and I absolutely adore David Sanborn. I love to show because it was musicians hanging out with musicians and doing what musicians do.
That’s quite a mullet the keyboardist is sporting! 😂 Love Crossfire.
Been listening to him since day 1 praying for 100 more years to listen to this talented gift from GOD which is what SRV was.Thank You Mr.Jamel.Rock On Bruthr.Luv the Reactions. BTW.. Get a chance hear Leave My Little Girl Alone.Mindblowing Good.
I think the last time I heard Crossfire was in the '90s, when I was about 7! I love the jammin' in this video. Great reaction!!
Wow... 1989... that's the year I graduated HS! 😳 This performance was so great! Sounded so different with this band but very awesome!
Always great to hear the one and only SRV!!!
Stevie was a awesome singer as well as player! Gone much to soon!
Outstanding. Thank you.
The man. The myth. The legend.
when Stevie hits that one note 20 times in a row - it always gives me the chills!!!!!!! simplicity, originality, passion................r.i.p.
Props to this band. They got it on. Also to Stevie Ray. Which goes without saying
This audience must have been small, because that cheering didn't do justice for that man!! His talent is amazing!!
Every time I see one his videos, I mourn for the talent lost too soon. Just smokin'
Thanks Jamal, you are my spirit brother!! Makes me so very happy and so very sad when I listen to Stevie Ray, his music and the way he plays that guitar...!! Makes my soul sing. Was blessed and fortunate enough to see him live, twice. Amazing! Last show, Jeff Beck opened up for him, what a concert!!..
At first I didn't think you noticed the bass player braking the string on his bass, so I watched it again, should have known you'd catch it. Your reactions, even years later are absolutely priceless my brother.
That's quite a house band - every last one of those guys is a legendary session player.
