👏🙌🪅🎉🎊‼️thanks for bringing this today guys! Couldn't click fast enough when my favorite two dudes circle back to our beloved Stevie Ray. Last week was the 33rd anniversary of our losing him but his music and his incredible passion will never die out. It is in large part due to reactors such as yourselves just discovering him and turn around and share him with your followers. So thank you for doing your part in keeping his legacy alive. Another great song from this same venue is an original by Stevie called "Aint Gone 'N' Give Up On Love". A bluesy song about love and his guitar solo here is🔥🔥🔥💯. You mentioned a long warm up - it is his 3 song "Soundcheck" and it is really worth checking out. They had just woke him up, he comes in rubbing his eyes and yawning. But then he straps in and takes off🚀🚀🚀. It is a great behind the scenes look. He took his music so seriously there was so much respect he accorded to it that he was incapable of "phoning it in". Love your channel and I am already looking forward to your next SRV reaction🎸🎶💙💯

Great reaction gents! SRV and DT were so tight as a band while performing live. Rivera Paradise live at 1989’s Austin City Limits show exemplifies the breadth of their music as it is an instrumental that is more jazz in nature. SRV dedicated it to all those people in the world that suffer through alcoholism and addiction as he and the band did early in their careers. I highly recommend you watch it even if you don’t react to it. They helped so many other people after cleaning themselves up. RIP SRV. ❤🙏

Sadly, I was at Stevie Ray Vaughn's last concert the night his helicopter crashed after the show at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin August 26th 1990. The fog was so bad after the show that we stopped and got a hotel room on the way home. The lineup was SRV, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Stevie's brother Jimmie and Buddy Guy. RIP SRV

That and no A/C, hot lights, and wearing a hat - but as hard and long as he played is so much more of a workout, especially those piano wire strings of his, than anyone can imagine and most people could never do themselves.

SRV was an amazing guitarist, so thanks for the reaction. I'd like to request another reaction to a lesser known guitar genius, the legendary Rory Gallagher. Rory didn't receive the recognition from the US public that he deserved since he refused to play the game with the record companies and the media machine. Rory knew what he liked, knew what he wanted to play and was a monster on the stage. His fans include Slash, the Edge, Brian May, Alex Lifeson and many more. His skills were so good, the Rolling Stones wanted to recruit him in 1975, but he chose to follow his own path. Try taking a listen to his 1977 performance of "Calling Card" at the Hammersmith Odeon or "I Wonder Who" in 1984 Belfast to get a sample of his guitar skills. Rory not only played the music, he became the music. Please take a listen!

At that 6:40 mark his tone sounded like the Isley Brothers. SRV is the GOAT!

Absolutely spot on! That tone at the 6:40 mark definitely had that Isley Brothers vibe to it. SRV's versatility and mastery of the guitar make him truly legendary. He's undoubtedly the GOAT! 🎸🔥

Lets see now ... In 1985, and depending on which month it was, I had graduated from HS 3 years earlier. If it was the month of April .. April 15th to be exact .. I had landed in Juno, Alaska and preparing to board a very, very teeny-tiny (by God's standards) processing ship placed smacked-dab in the middle of a vast ocean of water called the Behring Sea. However, if it was October, I was already home or on my way home from Alaska. I turned 21 while there. 1985 was a busy year.

FYI ... "Back in the day", if you are referring to 1985, ... well, there was no such thing as laptops, cell phones, internet, streaming, youtube etc etc. These words were not even part of our vocabulary yet. We had payphones on street corners and in local business. There were PC's .. but they were found and used mainly at places of employment. There are a small hand full of 'OFFICIAL' videos made when a single was released. Next time tho .. start getting into and reacting to his music that can only be found on audio. You'll find studio cuts but also audio from LIVE shows. You have heard/seen SRV play enough to recognize his sound. Without any video tho .. it will be left up to your imaginations the type of 'physical moves' he's making on stage while he shreds them strings. Plenty of real good songs that most reactors are not reacting to either.
