Stevie Nicks Off The Record 1986 Part 2

Музыка

So here's what happened. When I first recorded the interview, for some reason I completely skipped a couple of sides of this vinyl double-album set. So here's the rest of the interview. :)

Sounds like she’s got pneumonia here too. Glad she cleaned up not long after this. It just makes me think of Phil Lynott’s last interview

I had no idea Don Henley had said, "That's the worst thing I have ever heard" upon hearing 'Leather and Lace'. I presume he was being sarcastic; but you never know. I'd read that it was originally written for Waylon Jennings and his wife ( or musical partner? ), so it's kind of confusing. I know Stevie wrote it though. I liked this interview because Stevie clearly trusts the interviewer. She (Stevie) is speaking so fast - it's hard to catch every word. Lovely pictures too, especially the one with Don Henley.

Yes it was written for Waylon and Jessi, his wife whom he had a duo with. But then they divorced and Stevie decided to keep the song for herself. "After The Glitter Fades" was also written for Dolly Parton, but if I recall she never recorded it so Stevie went ahead and did so herself.

Thank you for that insightful opinion, Rudy. We were all wondering how you felt about her hair.
