For one, i dont know how whether or not your show is about to end is somehow up in the air like "idk maybe, maybe not" but, even with that somehow being an unknown they still handled it in the worst way possible. And now we have the good ol' timeskip + not same series just part of the franchise combo for the last season so any lazy plotholes can easily be explained by "TIMESKIP."

To me it's not even a surprise anymore, I have seen a horror game have a really good fandom and a dress up game with good intentions, have a sorta toxic fandom Edit: I only came back to this like a year later because I seen I got some hate, the reason why the FNAF fandom was seen good to me and why I say gacha is sorta toxic (and tbh I should have word it better) is manly from experience, I never seen barley anything bad happening when I was in FNAF animo back then and that was my only social media back then besides KZread (now it's just KZread) and in FNAF animo. For gacha is because I haven't seen anything again because again probably because of my lack of media, though through my KZread I have seen what happened in the gacha community to make it seem toxic (same for FNAF but very little) but I also know that the same community hates the toxic part, or the good apples, so I should have said that the fandom has a toxic reputation from the bad apples (which probably has a age group from 6-14 from looking at so many videos but it's not fact) but there is still so many good apples that people don't see because they focus on the hatred, I'm not saying if your personally experince with either of these fandoms are not valid, I'm saying this because I wanted to share more info on my side of perspective. Sorry for those I have upset and hope you have a good day/night

As flawed as the series was, this is no way to explain critism. Whatever valid criticism he might have had (especially with the fanbase), is hard to see with all the casual homophobic, sexist, racist and transphobic moments (I mean he literary used the T slur). I like the show, but the fandom...... the fandom is just THE most toxic group of people I’ve ever seen seriously, they made a girl go to the brink of suicide because her drawings of rose quartz weren’t fat enough, Jesus Christ edit: just as a good thing to take from this, almost everyone who online bullied her got a warning from the police for online bullying, and the people who got the warning were posting it on tumblr and saying why. you get what you fucking deserve edit 2: i see a lot of people in the replies saying "you haven't seen k-pop" or "gatcha is way worse than this", I understand this and I feel like k-pop toxicity is higher than both gatcha and SU fandom because gatcha - a girl bullied a teen almost to suicide, then made a lower than mediocre apology. @@Qwerty-lq2op uh, lack of communication between gems and the government for one is a massive concern, since spaceships falling from the sky is not an uncommon thing in the area, it would make sense for some safety measure or just an emergency evacuation plan for the city. Crystal Gems are also concealing a lot of information which could count to prevent many life-or-death situations, so that's a reason to be hunted down for. The show doesn't really explore this so it's pretty much just ground for speculations.

My problem is that the main villains legit committed at least 2 cases of genocide that we know of and are then played off as redeemed, do a peace sign, and leave. That's it. That's the end of the series. Oh, and Steven calls these mass murders "family." EDIT So I finally got around to watching the movie trailer. My point still stands. Steven says "As much as I love dismantling the empire and saving all your planets" etc. There's a very clear time jump and this boy legit healed the wounds of genocide with friendship. Wow. There's not much hope for this movie, I don't even know if I'll watch it, but the point still stands. Everything's perfect now that he's befriended these mass murders, dismantled an evil empire with friendship and now is apparently fighting a loony toon. Steven Universe everybody! Where the scars of war can be solved through song and hugs. (And a reverse uno card)

I always found it funny that actually, the main three gems are war veterans. They lived through a “medieval” war (they have artillery, it mentioned in the Lapys flashback, but fight with swords and bows) and then they act like less maturely than fucking Connie. When you said that actors were casted because of their race you exemplified with 2/3 white actresses. Also when I saw the voice actors i didn't immediately jumped to your conclusion of "people being casted because of their gender and race". The majority of the characters are women or children, it makes sense having more women in the cast. The fan base isn’t that... screw it it’s definitely toxic. But you can’t exactly base of every fan of the show and especially the show itself based on some peoples behaviour.

As someone who LOATHES Steven universe, garnet is voiced well. The stilted voice definitely gives off the impression of a stern expression from someone who used to be emotional. That’s about the only props I can give the show but still, credit where credit is due

Also Paradot's whole arc was her realizing that the gem empire was corrupt and evil, and siding with the heroes who want to protect Earth.

I suggest Hiding In Private's video "In Defense of Steven Universe", it goes over a few similar vids but starts with this one. I think it does a good job of debunking this juuuunk.

And since Garnet is "Ruby" and "Sapphire" every episode that are about her after season 1 are about "Ruby" and "Sapphire". It's not bad writing, just personal tastes. I agree that the fan base is toxic and horrible most of the time but the "stevenuniversefansshoulddie" is literally going down to their level. I have no problem with you hating the show, everyone is entitled to their own opinions (and I'm heavily biased because this show has literally saved me from suicide at times). My problems are the explicit racism and sexism you showed talking about the cast (and yes, that was absolutely racism and sexism) they earned their spots, and they all did amazing, And the fact that you know nothing about the crew, so you can't call them bad people. This comment obviously isn't gonna change your mind. (Pun intended) Also if your gonna talk about "the questions aren't answered," at least finish the show first. Idk if the finale had come out yet, but if the show isn't over, then you shouldn't talk about it. Anyways lots of respect for sharing your opinions "even if some of them are harmful" XOXO

@@wadribrab751 i like the artstyle tho. Its pretty nice how they utilize texture brush and their colour pallet is also pretty aesthetic. Smooth animation tho it's inconsistent. The character design are also great tbh. They all have iconic nice silhouette. Most of the songs are pretty nice also. Story is also good (though it has some problem but there are many other shows which are a lot worse) Wished they didn't rushed the ending. Could have alot better but still its overall a good show tbh and I enjoyed it alot.

Now guys, hear me out. What if the Steven Universe fandom, the K-POP stans fandom, and the Dream stans fandom had a goddamn war?

Yikes, that's awful. It's so bizarre though, I've only ever had one or two negative encounters with fans of the show. Most interactions I've had have been with nice people who just thought Steven Universe was really good as did I. I did recently sort by newest first on KZread though, and accidentally come across Crystal Gem Vore reading though if that counts for anything-
