I get this feeling that Spielberg didnt pick the films he made but that the films picked him.

The only "rule" of cinema is geography, where the camera is placed, like the 180-degree rule. Geography from shot to shot that makes sense keeps the audience firmly rooted in the story.

I remember watching this broadcast when I was a kid. It was my first glimpse of E.T. which creeped me out.

He did a voice act. He was the voice in Jaws when he called in over Quint's CB radio when Quint answered and said, "Orca. Come in."

He has a cameo in the blues brothers at the end being held at gunpoint by Dan and Belushi
