12:00 this isn’t really a clip you guys could use for micro content on your instagram but god damn.. I really was blown away by this story about how Steven was able to complete that order. The fact he convinced that store owner to let him stay the night shift to finish that order is just insane. That is the pure determination that is needed to build a company like slate digital or cymatics. You have to do whatever it takes and that’s exactly what he did in that story. Love love love the podcast guys keep killing it can’t wait so see what you guys have in store for 2020

One of my favorite parts was between 14:00 and 16:00 the story about doing what he had to do to get the job done. Grinding it out to get the job done even though it seemed like it was impossible. “Don’t give up. fucking hustle.” Then I liked what came after talking about his microphone products, what a great impact on the industry! Hopefully I’ll have many digital mic options in my studio one day.

This was by far my favorite episode you guys have done. 55:40 until the end was great. Steven is a genius, hustler and genuinely a nice guy. Great story but biggest take away from the entire podcast is him talking about 'Value'. Not only from an artist standpoint but as a regular human being. That alone shows the type of man this guy is. Great job with the show. Thanks.

I started mixing not even 30 days ago. The slate all access for me was a no brainer, theyre very intuitive and Steven's Rock course was amazing, he taught me quite a lot! My fav part in the podcast was around the 12:30 mark where Steve tells the story about printing the cds for his samples less than 48hours before he had to ship them! Great podcast guys, good questions, great guest. This was the first i have listened to , ill be sure to check out the rest of your stuff! Cheers from Tampa

I like Steven Slate's story about how he made it in the music industry from 4:50 to 9:33. It's a great reminder that while it's always important to have a dream/passion you want to pursue and to have the confidence and perseverance to pursue it, it's also equally as important to be open to whatever opportunities are presented to you and to fully maximize and utilize your skill sets, so that you can carve a path in the music industry that is really meant for you, even if it's a path that you weren't initially expecting to go on. Great podcast episode, guys! I'm glad that I finally got to see the man behind one of the best and most highly in-demand plugin companies in the music production community right now.

I went to the Cymatics meet up in LA and i couldnt possibly explain to you in a yt comment on how much this meet up changed my life and valued me as a producer and a person. I got the chance to play my music to a room full of people for the first time ever. I meet so many great people and producers. They also gave the first 500 ppl a free usb with tons of samples on it. If Cymatics comes near your city i highly suggest going to their event its nothing but value.

Thank you all for the priceless information. I discovered cymatics last December and I always run out of data bundles before I run out of content to watch here since data is expensive here in Africa. Mic modelling 30:20 is some fascinating stuff, a game changer. I record local artists here in the village I reside but the quality of the Chinese mic is really bad. Thanks for introducing me to slate digital. Am definitely getting their mic when I blow up and make enough money.

The chops in the edit would have people wanting to hear the full story as well. This is one of my favorite podcasts you guys have done for sure. I worked in studio last year, the engineer had the Raven with VMS mic set up and it was insane hearing him flick through the different mic emulations. you can literally take your recording and put it through different classic mics to find which one fits your mix the best or has the coloring you prefer etc Really mind blowin' technology man!!!!

Don’t give up. Overcoming obstacles. You need to put the effort in to succeed and do whatever it takes. (11:55)

55:34 The whole concept of Value will always be the paradigm to move forward in our current generation, creating an atmosphere of abundance and surrounding yourself with people that do the same make the world a better place. It became very evident for me watching @GaryVee and to see you guys do it in the audio world with other like-minded individuals makes this topic an affirmation... in fact the reason I keep coming back to your products and content =) Thank you

Great episode guys! 23:03 - l ike that thought about keeping something in the passion category, which is particularly hard when it comes to music and art. Because in order to create something special, we can`t follow a formula that we repeat all over again and it creates something special everytime, we need passion and inspiration to great something unique. But the biggest enemy of that passion is the pressure we put on ourselves by focussing more on the outcome and the (financial) return of stuff we create. Keeping a good balance, especially when music is your job, and still finding the passion and creating space for inspiration is one of the biggest challenges for artists/producer/musicians that are making a living from music. Pretty often I think there is a wonderful freedom in not having to achieve anything with music and just doing it for fun. And we all know that there are quite some famous artists in the past who did not give a f*** and just succeeded because of that. :)
