the guy is just insanely smart... that line was great about wynn/encore having tons of stuff but still feeling intimate and not vast ( a la every other big vegas resort)

Regardless of you knowing him. No need to talk crap behind his back. Why don't you tell him in his face rather than slam people's opinion of him. No matter what you think of him, there is no better developer in Vegas. He creates beauty that no one else has so far. Everyone enjoys a visit to any of the hotels he designed. Yeah I know, he has artists/designers. But if he didn't have an artists eye and great taste, he wouldn't hire all the right people.

His father was a compulsive gambler who died at 47 and left Steve nothing but a $325 000 debt. That man is entirely self made, and has the most beautiful hotel on the strip.

@nickfromm5315 One can inherit a business with debts... Which is what happened to Steve Wynn. He turned it around, and the rest is history.

Las Vegas put all it's chips on entertainment industry and casinos. No great city can survive on one industry alone. As a tourist I don't like they have so many new hotels open and some of the hotels offer substandard rooms. I don't like they have so much crime outside of the strip it makes me afraid to rent a car there. Also some of the newer casinos are so modern it is scary to stay in one of them new cosmopolitan, Wynn or encore. LAs vegas mean theme hotel and that what they should build more

How is this "behind his back" when the whole world can read it? Should I set an appt w/him so he can listen to what he already knows? I can voice my "opinion" just like others here voiced theirs. He isn't the only person with an artful eye or vision so to speak. Having "taste" doesn't make him a good person either. He still a serious jerk and then some.
