I used to work with Steve on the #1 NASCAR modified in the early 90's. It was a great time. And Steve was a VERY rare talent

Cool! Steve sounds like an interesting guy to work with, he had more impressive career then I'd realized wins in Modifieds, Trucks, Xfinity and Cup series.

Steve Park is a name that isn't mentioned enough. Awesome to see him get some shine here. On the off chance Steve scrolls these comments, you were a HUGE part of my childhood growing up around racing. Thank you.

My first favorite nascar driver, saw him win at Rockingham in that awesome pennzoil yellow 😅

Steve Park got robbed man. Two bad accidents that weren't his fault at all ruined his career and it's a damn shame. He'd have won more than a few races in the 2000s

I had the honor of meeting Steve. I can tell you he is a class A individual, a truly good person, and everything they say about him is true.

I was at the race at Darlington. Never knew how the accident occurred. You are a great race car driver. I'm happy for you that you are enjoying your retirement with your son. Best wishes Steve

I love this story. I've been watching NASCAR for over 30 years and I don't think I ever really knew this story. I can't believe it. What a great man. Doesn't matter what happened in his career, he's an inspiration and that to me is success. Thank you Steve, for who you are.

Steve Park was a great guy and great racer but his 2001 accident kind of ruined his career, and he had a lot of hard crashes. I feel like he came back too soon. He did not sound right and then Steve had a crash-filled 2002 and he just never could get that form back. I wish he could have had time to really get his head right.

Long Island legend

Out of all the drivers hurt in accidents Steve Park is the one I feel for the most, everyone talks about Ernie Irvan, but at least he got to compete for a title, we never got to see how good Steve Park could, and that’s pretty sad. There is nary a morsel of my mind, body, or soul, that doubts the idea Steve Park could’ve been a champion of the sport. In my heart, he is a champion. I was born long after his cup days were over, but his story will forever inspire me. I hope I can meet him one day. So many of my hero’s have been long dead before I discovered them, but I’ve wanted to meet Steve Park more than anyone else in my life. I’m glad he’s doing well today.

I'd say its because of Kevin being the direct replacement of Dale at RCR and also the fact that Harvick had a great career in Cup

He was one of my favorite drivers ever. It’s truly sad to see someone who worked so hard have it all derailed by injury.

Got the opportunity to meet Steve at the Daytona 500 in 2019 - such an amazing person to talk to and it’s such a shame his career was derailed by that fateful day in Darlington…

All in all it's not a sad story, It's a GREAT story.

It’s so weird seeing Michael Waltrip talk in a serious, somber tone because he’s always so goofy on the tv broadcasts.

Steve really had a good Truck Series career after the Cup series.

I remember that 2002 season, and a lot of crashes weren't Park's fault. Sadly few others felt that way.

I always get bummed thinking about how close D.E.I. were to having a dynasty. Steve,Mikey, and jr. Especially had Dale Sr not been killed in 2001.

Luckily, I got to see Steve race on Sundays He got my vote.

Great documentary but lucky dogs or the “free pass” didn’t exist until 2003. Larry Foyt was simply catching up to line up on the inside as a lap car

What if tho, What if Steve Park had been succesfull. Would Martin Truex Jr go to the 15 intead of the 1. would dale Jr had stayed at DEI. Would the mergers with Ginn and later Chip Ganassi have happend. Or would things be diffrent. We will never know..............
