Two Gods of Guitar and Music... I've been Lucky to spend an afternoon with both to ask them so much questions and many things and to look very close how they use each their guitar...and it was magic because it's not everyday that I can do that and more both are so funny..cool...nice..simple When I see here so much bastard who believe to learn how to become a great guitar player I laugh so strong !!! Still talking pickups neck woods how to use pic... But some guy are really good too...!!!... I asked to Steve why his way to keep the pic in his hand is so special.... He explained because in his guitar style he s still jumping strings and even plays sweeping in alternate picking tecnich but he told me there's no good or bad way, you should find your way to be the most naturally cool as possible and the most logical with the style you want to create... Steve and Albert show me hot they keep their pics...no way...both use the little finger really much but not for the same reason... Steve to change so fast and so many times of pickups...and playing with the volume knob to get violoning effect and with tone knob to get a unique sound...like a wha...listen to his sound when he uses the tone knob, it's the only guitar player who makes this with tone knob... For Albert...first he plays only with clean sound and he showed me how he uses his little finger with the same powerfull and precision than his others fingers it's really the Master of chicken picking...so many times his guitar sound like a banjo !!!!...and what awsome work to get a result to play with the pick and 4 fingers to use the entire capacity of his right hand....really awsome... Each are really different but they are able to play so great stuff in the same style of Music... Anyway like I told to Steve: " You can play all Music styles perfectly so country and blugrass too !!!!... as Bach Vivaldi, Chopin Blues, Rock, jazz, jazz fusion ". In fact it's what he always did from "The Dixie Dregs" till today... He has the best guitar technic in each style he play... The only musician who is close to make the same is Eric Johnson. Fantastic afternoon that I will never forget... Thancks a lot for sharing this great Music vidéo 😛

I think Steve has the best right hand attack and control over strings of all quitar player's..His wrist is worn off cause he is LEFT HANDED :)

Arthritis in the wrist. He can no longer pick fast with his wrist (he used to play all wrist). Now he has to use that horrible-looking elbow technique when playing faster notes. The thing on his R-hand in a compression sleeve that is worn very snug to help reduce pain.

Pretty cringy

Albert sounds tired n bored compared to Steve's outburst...

Steve may take a pause and quit playing. It's a Desaster.
