Maurizio Michelotti ~ 49 unique frequencies can be played on a 24 fret six string . When you take into account adding bends or whammy bar or slide you could count those to infinity . But where's that leave Steve Lukather ? Is there such a thing as infinity times Steve ? Or maybe a Lukather length ? An off the off the chart measurement where infinity equals one and Lukather equals everything after that . lol something IDK when you watch him it makes you wonder if God is taking music lessons from him you know what I mean ?

Guitarists, help me!! I'm 53, so I guess I'm old school. that being said, how is it he has what looks and plays like a Floyd Rose but theres no locking nut at the headstock and he tunes it via the pegs and not the saddle? What has changed, cuz I always HATED that you had to unlock the motherfucker to get handle any major out of tuneage situations!
@dewdude2112
8 жыл бұрын
One of the things that has changed is locking tuners. You put just a little bit of the string into the tuning peg, turn the cap on the tuner, and it "locks" the string on the peg and very little winding to bind. I had a guitar with a Wilkinson trem system, no locking nut and it worked quite well. However, it did not respond like a Floyd did. It did not have the bounce and flutter a floyd provides. I might also mention that when the FLoyd is setup properly, it is as stable or more than say typical LP/strat. I am CONSTANTLY tuning my LP, Tele, and 335, but Floyd is always very close. If you're having big trouble with your Floyd, you're doing it wrong.
@chrislestermusic
7 жыл бұрын
D Grundman Part of what changed on this guitar is, like the other poster said, there are locking tuners. The headstock angle also eliminates the need for string trees and keeps the string in the nut better. Steve has his setup free floating so he can get the Floyd "flutter". I imagine if he broke a string it would go wildly out of tune like a Floyd. It also makes it hard to alter tunings without the whole thing going squirrely.
@gremmiehodad

You’re so right! I have Japan version of Los Lobotomy’s “Candyman” (Which you should absolutely checkout!) which has a bonus track! Luke and the boys are performing an absolutely incredible version Hendrix’s “Red House”! Luke breaks a string and yells “F’n broke a Goddamn string! And on this F'n guitar listen to what it F’n sounds like!” Then he strikes a chord way out of key! As it fades out Luke’s children can be heard singing lines from Sammy Davis Jr.’s “The Candyman” to which Luke laughs and responds “That was perfect”!My version of the album had a bonus track where Luke and the boys were performing an incredible version of Hendrix's "Red House" until Luke broke a string! He then cusses it out and the song stops! On the album fade out Luke's kids (young at the time) sing a line from Sammy Davis Jr.'s "The Candyman" to which Luke laughs and responds "That was perfect"!

You took the word out of my mouth girl:)
what is the instrumental at the end of 13' (before the riff of "Judgment Day") ??
1:26 'wind cries Mary' chord
What is the name of the song playing in the beginning of this video
What's the name of the instrumental song at the ending part ?
4:29 "ne pas toucher sinon dentiste" XD
I did not see any Bradshaw Rack Effect in this show but sounds look better
I'm a picky fuck and this guy is fairly good. Lol. He's great.
sounds ok to me.
I like his older Mesa Boogie/Bradshaw rack lead tone a lot better.

@@lori_ginale9621 Yeah, it is, but it doesn't have the WOW factor of his over-the-top Mesa/Bradshaw rig, which could send chills up and down my spine. Now he sounds a lot more like everybody else.

@dewdude2112

D Grundman Locking tuners, maybe even more important is grease the slots in the nut if you put new strings on..
