This is coming from 64 yr old from Okla Toto/Lukather fan. This is your best solo album in my opinion. I hope it’s ok relate it to the Toto sound which I fell in love with. I am glad to see that you’re doing well and still playing such great music!! Thanks for sharing your genuine talent! Also adding I have seen you with Toto and solo and also have your interesting book.

It's probably the shortest time Luke has gone between releasing albums. I've always seen Luke as a great solo artist and i never thought of him as the guy from Toto without the name stamped on his album. The likes of Turns To Stone, Stab In The Back etc are fantastic.

It is good to heart that Steve is picking up the melodic approach again, especially track 4 and 5 are really good! all forevers must end and when i see you again are track that could be songs from the golden era of music production. Personally the montreux live concert from 91 is my all time favorite and ofcourse 2003 amerdam, because Steve was playing melodic and not trying to show of chops, the last concert or beter said the only time i seen them live was a few years ago, and I think most famous guitarist suffer from this, the youth the see on social media often play very viruoso, but they lack melody and that is the most imporant thing, like Quincy jones said melody is king! melody is the protagonist in the song! Steve knew this and does not have to change his musical chops to suit 2023! if you close your eyes you see no colors nor age, what you so see is the story, you need to frase the centences and arrange the words (with rests) to make the listener want more of this ear candy! I wish he would pick up his old gear the tri chorus the L.A sound and make one epic album where every song is a unique and awesome song and so you wanna play the album over and over and over! Ron

Great Musician! Meet him in Jacksonville Florida the day of the concert this year. Me and a friend from School in the 70’s were at the pool and Steve was relaxing by the pool too, we all got kicked out of the pool for maintenance! Steve was so nice, he let us take a picture with him! A true gem of a musician and human being!

Great album, Steve. The tone and songwriting are very ear friendly. I started playing guitar in 1974. I love fucking everybody that still plays. I've listen to your playing since MTV days. The last song on the album , I'll Never Know". Did you use a sustainiac ? I have been learning your solos from that song. Fucking killer delay. 450 milliseconds? Great job on this Steve. I really have enjoyed both listening and playing along with it. ✌️ my brother. Let me know when you'll be playing in Tennessee. GT

TOTALLY agree on the world not needing any more Eddie's and that we need melodic guitar solos. What Eddie did and the remaining talent are doing is enough as of now. An extremely skilled modern group out there now, altho fun to watch, I never come back to them because there is nothing melodic, emotional, memorable about what they're doing; it's all just skill set, with mediocre compositions. All I care about is the *quality* of solos and great song writing. Luke still has it, listened to a few of his new songs, they're terrific. And thank goodness, because modern music is desperate for quality right now, absolutely desperate. It's astounding he can still do it; "All Forevers Must End" and "I'll Never Know" are fantastic...it's music I'll come back to repeatedly, where the aforementioned group, I just won't.

Unfortunately TOTO can't record a studio album again due to legalities holding that back. So Paich, Luke, and Joe all released solo albums which are great. But the problem (If it even is a problem) is that their overriding personalities dominate over the collaborative tension that makes a real band record special.

Although I always have been a big fan of Toto and luke, I do not think it is a good album. All tracks sound the same to me. Actually it sounds the same as all his solo albums except Candyman which was a great album. This album is boring, no great melodies or harmonics/chords. And (post)production even worse. It sounds really bad. Sorry Luke. But who cares what I think.

@@regaltip8A Same here. Fan since 1978. The quality of the Seventh One was never matched again. Not only in musical ways but also on production. It was just perfection. The mix with orchestra/brass keyboards and that 80's guitar sound were just gold. The sound of that 80's guitar and his melodic solos with such refinement.. Amazing.
