The Guitarist I just keep coming back to. its that mixolydian scale switched in with minor pentatonic. Very unique and best demontrated on "Radio" off "Motivation radio"

There's NOTHING like the Hillage band firing on all cylinders. Bravo Steve & Miquette & Co!

I was at this gig, in a somewhat altered state. There's been so much water under the bridge, but this still cuts it for me. Deeply psychedelic, and beating out the prophetic rhythms of otherworldly goodness. More power to his elbow.

I was also there. I never thought I would see Gong and Hillage and there they were, both of them together in one amazing concert.

Decades ago Steve's album "Live Herald" literally ripped the top of my head off. Still bleeding. Amazing musician.

I hope these guys do some tour dates in 2024 or so .. i would like that

I saw Steve Hillage first time in 1978 in Vitrolles near Marseille in France !!! There been playng 3 times in de Sallles des Fetes de Vitrolles...between 1978 en 1980..Great concerts !!!

First gig in the 70s was Gong.... I never looked back! Now my son follows Steve and my grandson.

Fabulous.Saw Steve back in 76 at Dunstable Queensway Hall,what a great Guitarist,what shines for me is The way his Music has Evolved,still pushing boundaries and moving on!

Spent an excellent week in the Dam. Mr Hillage doing his ripply stuff was the icing on the cake. He did a little bit as an intro at Sonic Rock on the Farm a few years previously as System 7. The very wet one, This was the first time since the seventies I had seen Steve with band. :)

Thank you for posting. A seminal point in my music history. The day after this broadcast nobody’s at work ( who had watched ) could talk about anything else.

This was at the Gong Unconvention in Amsterdam, brilliant weekend .

Pity i missed this gig ! But last year was great with Sys7/Rovo !

I was a teenager from Hastings who loved fungi (-: A friend of mine had Fish Rising, L, Motivation Radio, and Green. How was I to know what would happen when you combine shrooms with Steve Hillage's music?

I remember seeing this cat at the Wesleyan University Hockey rink way way back in the fall of 1977.Touring in support of "Fish Rising" record,at least that is what my memory is telling me, it was supposed to be a great show with Steve Hillage supporting Camel.Camel for some reason bailed out at the last minute.Steve and the band were phenomenal and put on an awesome two and a half hour show. I am sad to have learned that Steve Hillage is no longer with us..

I was thinking howvthe intro to this is reminescent of Eric Johnson's "High Landrons" song. I've seen some interviews with Eric but he never mentions Steve Hillage as an influence which I think sucks ass
