I am choked up even though I am not black and I am no longer a child. I wish all children are empowered, and instilled the hope and confidence from their parents like her. Her parents were BEAMING with pride!

Such a powerful poem...and such powerful recitation. It’s like this 4 year old girl understood the essence of the poem and gave it a soul of her own. Swallowing the lump in my throat, I send Greetings and blessing from Bangalore, India. May you be grow up to be exactly the strong beautiful woman that you want to be.
