Музыка
Steve Hackett - Ian Mcdonald - John Wetton \\ I Talk To The Wind
From album of group King Crimson "In The Court Of The Crimson King" - 1969.
Said the straight man to the late man
Where have you been
I've been here and I've been there
And I've been in between.
I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear.
I'm on the outside looking inside
What do I see
Much confusion, disillusion
All around me.
You don't possess me
Don't impress me
Just upset my mind
Can't instruct me or conduct me
Just use up my time
I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear.

I can see why 🎵
This song was so much ahead of its time, a whole new music. I remember buying the album when it hit the stores and it was astounding how progressive it was. Totally different from anything that had come before. I used to play that album over and over. 15 years old and hearing the most advanced compositions, it was all new, so complex, so beautiful. King Crimson was the first, and the best IMHO.

Anthony Capps I wholeheartedly agree. And an intelligently written comment- and very much one of our progressive music heads. This album brought a lot of jazz, orchestral, ELP, Moody Blues, and other eclectic sounds in the mix. This never was and never will.be in commercial radio. There are people who never even heard if Robert Fripp, nor Greg Lake at the time. I really miss when we had true progressive rock. It's most of my vinyl collection!

I don’t know. I love King Crimson, but I probably love old Genesis even more. Every album from Trespass to Trick of the Tail is a masterpiece. But Crimson is great, Starless and Moonchild are two of my favorite songs.

The flute sounds so angelic, heavenly. It's so incredibly beautiful. An instrument i wish to listen live, like the violin and the saxofone, special sounds.

These "music critics" on here are so narrow minded. Just enjoy it for what it is, instead of picking it apart. Hackett, Wetton, and Ian Mc Donald are so talented, and are responsible for the best music of the progressive age!
McDonald is an amazing flute player. He wrote this great song.
RIP john wetton
Rest In Peace Ian McDonald, thanks for the beautiful music.
I remember being a teenager and my mom stumbling upon the King Crimson debut album in my room while i was at school. The album cover frightened her and she felt it was a certain clue that i had fallen prey to hard drugs and bad influences. After hearing Schizoid Man she was convinced. However then she heard this song and Epitaph and was amazed by their beauty. Ultimately she stole the album from me and listened to it constantly
A masterpiece is one of the soundtrack songs of my life
maybe its the most beautifull song I´ve heard my entire life, just simply that
Members of the two greatest Crimson line ups getting together at least for one night.
R.I.P. John Wetton.
This song will be played at my funeral....born in 1950s...

The transcendental quality of the original lp version expressed very well here, and provides a haunting echo of the entire Court lp. A flashback to the mind blown experience that stands as a masterpiece in prog rock.

Is that the Steve Hackett from Genesis right?
If Ian had done nothing else in his career except for composing this song and playing THIS flute solo, it'd still be an awesome career !
He was not only a great talent...He was a helluva nice guy!
Steve Hackett is the best guitar soloist ever , and this is one of the proofs : doing such a beautiful solo on such a classic song (which already had a beautiful solo by God Fripp). Also Ian McDonald and Wetton (RIP) doing wonders , I'm in love with his flute playing so many beautiful melodies and for me he is the best at it along with the other Ian (Anderson). Wetton plays and sings just perfectly (and it's hard considering is Greg Lake we are talking about here , another one of my favorites and also RIP) , he truly creates the perfect ground for Ian to charm with his magic flute. It's very hard to improve or just make a cover actually interesting but they definitely created something great here.

I thought it was a terrible solo which ruined the song. I can see he didn't want to compete with Fripp's simple melody but the reverse gate effect didn't work for me on this one. His rhythm playing is fine but his solo work has always lacked tone and precision for me.
It takes the breath away, marvelous song!
This will never be complete without Michael Giles on drums. Loved the flute solos

Lovely chords. And it's nice that they improvise, instead of reproducing the original solos note by note.
