Steve Blum on voicing Spike Speigel and Mugen

A fan asked prolific voice actor Steven Blum about the differences between voicing Spike Speigel from "Cowboy Bebop" and Mugen from "Samurai Champloo", which gave us some interesting info behind the shows. Then things got weird with Dante Basco and Steven's girlfriend and fellow voice actor, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. Real weird.

@@AdmiralAtago Let's not forget Shishio Kind of funny that he voiced Shishio and Zabuza being that they're both sort of similar in how they picked up a young child with a terrible living situation and groomed them into being killing machines. The parallels for Shishio+Sojiro and Zabuza+Haku are pretty neato (Faye's voice actor even voiced Shishio's GF)
Spike and Mugen are two of my favorite animated characters and that alone makes Steve Blum my favorite voice actor.
Steve Blum and Dante basco have the coolest voices of all time , n maybe Tupac shakur

I was only a kid when the two animes premiered so wasn't familiar with Steve until his role as Amon. So I will forever recognize him as the Equalist leader.

crazy seeing how full circle the fact that Steve Blum sat next to Dante Basco. Steve voiced both Spike and Mugen, two characters in two anime that inspired the creators of avatar the last airbender, and in that show, Dante voiced Zuko.

Mary looks like an aged version of julia ..its hard to unsee and she did great work directing naruto ...she looks like tsuande but voiced kurenai ...figure that one out
