The irony is that it is Democrats hyper-interested in creating political prisoners. Remember, they investigated the 'Russia Collusion' nonsense to the moon and back. It was just half-truths, fabrications, and flat-out lies. An FBI Agents was even convicted for it. Now, they want to send their political rival to jail for a couple months because he refused another frivolous Democrat subpoena? (something Dems have been doing left and right with subpoenas from Republican Senators, btw. The hypocrisy is just obscene at this point). I swear Dems have utterly lost the plot now. 1:00 I'd agree that Bannon has no grounds to ignore a subpoena. Even if there was executive privilege, you'd still have to obey the subpoena, show up, and claim the privilege. Second, I believe that it's the president that must claim the privilege, not the witness. By not showing up, he's in contempt, even if Trump DID claim privilege, even if Bannon WAS in the White House at that time, etc. However, to say "he wasn't in the White House at this point" is a red herring. Executive privilege exists so the president can get input that's totally unrestrained by thoughts it might become public, and thus it wouldn't matter if someone's in office or not. BTW I think Trump and Bannon are some of the worst people in America, but I try to call the balls and strikes fairly regardless.

@@Ck_p37Pure delusion. Trump was already found guilty of loan fraud, molestation and is doing badly at the Stormy Daniel’s trial due to the pesky mountain of evidence. Repubs have…..a failed fake impeachment. But yeah….the “Dems” are in panic mode. It isn’t Biden who is pooping his pants. Banon refused a subpoena because of “Presidential immunity” …..which was laughed at. You can’t ignore subpoenas if you want, or welcome to the virtual end of the justice system and corruption in politics like the US has never seen, and no….Bannon wasn’t President. He was guilty as sin and was just banking on Trump pardoning him. But I understand that Trumpers are mad that you can’t be above the law if rich and connected under Biden….just under Republicans. And this was just ONE of Bannon’s many crimes. Plenty more trials and jail time to come for him trying to steal the American people’s votes.
