Albini truly had a major impact on the Seattle grunge scene in more ways than one. He was a true punk and never let that go. Big Black was one of the most crucial bands for the 80’s. Rest easy Albini.

If you want to learn from the guy you still can. He wrote so much in articles, and even put out a LOT of youtube videos. He describes in fine but easy detail why and what. I highly recommend.

R.I.P. Steve. 61 may have been far too young but one has to take into consideration he lived three lifetimes, one as the founder of three influential post-hardcore bands, another as an extremely talented and innovative audio engineer with a couple of thousand albums to his name, and one as an all around great guy with an infectious sense if humor.

RIP! Impossible task to record something real. The very definition of recording is to look to the future which changes awareness to performance. Stevecdid the best he could, but it’s a fools game. Before and In between his recordings was his real life and most likely well lived.

Everything you see is a picture of what you want it to be. It never is the way you think it is. Steve Albini had little to do with the real recordings of most of my songwriting I did in secrecy. These are words, I don’t get credit I don’t get payment. Be kind to the touring groups if they get caught as you were never kind to me when I say that I wrote and recorded the music. Take care. You won’t be in my shoes ever, and I know what I was.
