Sterilizing Liquids: Autoclaving & Filtration

The autoclave and sterile filtration are two common techniques we use to sterilize liquids and protect patients. In this demo, we’ll make some culture media and split it into three fractions. Then we’ll compare an untreated sample (control) with one from the autoclave and a third that’s been through a sterile filtration process.

Super great. Could you show a setup without the bottle top filters? What do we need to sterilize trough a pvdf membrane? I need that information for my mushroom hobby.

Could you please tell what type of membrane will be required to filter - sterilize urea solution ( 0.1% w/v) , lactic acid (88 to 92% concentration), hydrogen peroxide solution (30%w/v)and NaF solution (60%w/v)?
