With the air chamber outside of the mattress cover, begin by connecting to pump and fully inflating the air chamber outside of the mattress. Then, to locate the air leak in the canvas latex part of the air chambers of your Sleep Number® bed begin by spraying down the air chamber with kitchen cleaner Clorox Spray. You will find with these types of canvas air chambers being designed to hold high amounts of pressure, push in as it will force the air out making it easier to find the air leaks. Once you locate one leak, keep looking as it may not be the only one. It is as important as repairing it properly. This video shows how to properly find the air leak. With recommendations for troubleshooting air leaks with Clorox Kitchen Cleaner Spray. This keeps the air chamber from being over saturated with water and cleans it all at once.
Thanks, and make it a great day! Brandon Fry - Inventor

For those of you watching this video, it is in fact Clorox Clean-Up which is used to find the leak. I tried other things (e.g. soapy water, dish soap, plain diluted clorox etc) and nothing exposed the leak. Got some Clorox Clean-up (matched the colors of the bottle in the video to find it) and it started bubbling right away and was quick to find. Two thumbs up for this video. Had three air chambers leak (same side of bed) and this is the first time I was actually able to find it and fix it. Saved me a bundle! Thanks!

I bought the Clorox Clean-up but it had a strong bleach odor which I didn't want. What worked for me is just put some dish soap and water in an empty spray bottle. Bubbles popped immediately over the leak.

Air Bed Repair Man videos were SO helpful. It took me 2 times of spraying the entire mattress down because I was afraid of getting it too wet the first time. Clorox Clean-up is what I used. The 2nd time I really wet the entire surface down little section by little section. I finally found the leak in one of the corners. I am ordering the butterfly patch kit and an additional regular kit (for future needs) today. I can't say thank you enough!

Oh Im so glad I found this.. I've been sleeping on a flat half of my bed for 7 months and sleep number wants $600 to fix it when I spent $10,000 on this setup 3 years ago. I know I have a leak because I put the cap on to test it and could feel air leaking out somewhere about an inch up from the hose plug . Do you have a video of how to patch a hole that I could watch? 🥲 thank you! I regret this bed and they werent very helpful😪

The title and description mention finding leaks in the pump but the video does not address this. How do I find leaks from the pump system?

This is my issue. I've got a leak that is causing my side to deflate and waking up with my hip hitting the base underneath the mattress. Losing sleep over it. I've tested it with the caps and slept and it still leaked so not the pump side or a tube.

Is the “Clorox cleanup” mentioned in the video the same as “Clorox Cleanup + Bleach”? Also, does this method leave a bleach odor on the air chamber - and if so, does this odor go away once it dries - and if not, how long does it take for the odor to go away if not right away?

I have followed the video step by step. I found no bubbles, however the air chamber will drop from 100 to 40 in about 30 min. I have inflayed it disconnected the line from the pump and plugged the inlet valve. it still leaks. What else can I try

Is there any type of powder or chalk like items I can put inside the chamber to see if it may be a seam around the very outer edge

That looks like Clorox Clean-up, not straight Clorox, correct? (straight Clorox doesn't bubble for me).

I bought a 360 model and it started leaking on my side after only 2 months. Sleep Number replaced it under warranty and 2 years later and the replacement mattress is leaking. For almost $4700 this is an extremely poorly manufactured mattress.

Thankfully it happened before the warrant went up. I had kine for 2 years and 2 months and of course my air chamber went out. They want $600 now to fix it and it's outrageous after spending $10,000 . I'm regretting buying it with the way customer service only wanted more money for THEIR product being cheaply made. Of course it's 2 months after the warranty is up too. They know most don't last long past that I'm sure! 🥴 mine takes about 15 minutes to fill to 100%, and then it is back at 5% in 20 minutes or so ! Most uncomfortable waste of money thing my husband and I have ever bought! 😒

If clorox or bleach spray bottles are scarce, is there something else you would recommend to identify leaks?
