Age is truly just a number. If you keep your body in shape and mentally don’t give up because you think “oh I’m 28 or I’m 30” you’re gonna keep performing at a high level. our bodies can go till 40s. Holland actually said he was gonna retire because he’s turning 30 lmao meanwhile wonderboy just beat him at 39. It’s all about mentality

I live in Charlotte NC and used to drive down to Upstate Karate's gym to train with Stephan's Dad.. Stephen always worked with the younger group and everyone loved this guy.. what you see here is exactly what he's really like.. Just a different kind of DNA in that family

Yeah exactly, probably him or Izzy for best pure striker in the UFC. Watch his losses, he's doesn't lose any of his striking fights. It's always the wrestlers that beat him, which is tough cuz most of the top welterweights are dominant wrestlers

Its crazy how he is still one of the top strikers in the world at his age. Normally fighters start slowing down when they get into their mid 30s (except for maybe LHWs and HWs) but WB still has speed, precision, and his reflexes about him. It really is a treat to watch. I dont think I have ever seen that many head kicks land in a single fight. It has to be some kinda record... Credit to Holland tho, he is too tough for his own good.

Wonderboy actually doesn’t really have power. He’s a technically supreme fighter, but lacks one shot KO power. If he has that he’d be greatest striker all time, if he’s not already

@@DramaScenes1 Fight Nights are cheaper. You can get tickets from $100 to $200. The other UFC events are more expensive and tickets may start off at $250. Adesanya and Peirera was about $500 for very bad seats. Since you’re international, you might get a good price if you decide to go to Brazil

Wonderboy is my favorite striker in the UFC. Love his character and how nice he is. His trash talk is giving compliments to his opponents lol. Its crazy how nice he is, while also being a straight savage with his kickboxing. Its crazy hes almost 40. He moves better than most people in their 20s lol

This was like the wonderboy from the Hendricks fight. Just breaking his opponent down with nonstop kicks. It was awesome seeing him use his kicks like that again.

Wonderboy's cardio is also extremely good! Not only fantastic accuracy, technique, heart, speed, timing, footwork, head mouvements.. His cardio is very impressive, especially at 39 years old!

Cardio and strength doesn't really leave you at that age, if you live a healthy lifestyle and avoid excessive wear and tear.

@@chrisdinke271 For sure. They've done studies and found men don't have a noticeable drop in testosterone until advanced age when they practice a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately most in America don't so low T is often associated with older age. I'm almost 35 and I've had zero drop off in performance due to practicing a high quality lifestyle and incorporating preventative maintenance into my routine.

Vintage Wonderboy. What a performance

This is one of those matches that you never thought would be made and ended up being fireworks. Both play off each other so well both inside and outside of the octagon.

This was definitely a nice holiday treat from the UFC. Felt like a ppv all night. Great card (all finishes), Anik and DC calling it, Buffer on the mic. Great Fight Night.

I can't believe how sharp wonderboy looked last night. Mightve been one of the best performances of his career, which is wild to think considering how many wars he's been through- both in kickboxing and mma. Idk how he's maintained his peak for so long- maybe even improving at this age. So happy for him. Future Hall of Famer and I think he could do really well against Leon Edwards and potentially be champ if the UFC gave him the chance.

Huge wb fan, his striking is on another level from even some of the other guys at the top, but hed have to get just the right circumstances for the title, as plenty can beat him on the ground. Dont get me wrong, he has plenty of skill on the ground, but there are some guys who are specialists in it like he is striking, and it nullifies those strikes

Hope against hope that WB becomes a champ before the end. Regardless, he is inspirational, a credit to his family, and team, and one of the finest exemplars of the greatest sport on earth. Congratulations on a spectacular win, WB! Love, from The UK.
