Guys close to retirement, he not gonna b champ, he can fight strikers for some great fights or he can get held down for the entire fight by a grappler for a snoozer

Guys, tune in for Karate Combat this weekend, it will be Raymond Daniels vs Rafael Aghayev Even Gabriel Varga will fight in this event. Its going to be one event for the centuries. Knockout fest galore!

But those same people criticising Wonderboy were salty about the UFC matching up Diaz with Chimaev, saying it's disrespectful for a veteran of the sport. Seems like the fans pick and choose what "morals" and "principles" should apply to different fighters.

At the end of the day, Wonderboy's put enough time and effort in, drawing with a great champion in Woodley also, that he can do what he likes. He's entertaining enough to draw the fans in with fights like this that won't really progress his rank and that way, he's not cheated out of a win by grapplers who will lay and pray him to victory, ala Boring Belal.

Getting outgrappled is not "being cheated out of a win". I say this as a massive Wonderboy fan. Besides, Belal nearly TKO'd him in the first round with GnP. I don't mind Wonderboy choosing to fight strikers from now on, but he does need to choose a lane. Right now he's sort of trying to play both sides where he's playing lip service about still working his way up the rankings and making another title run (won't happen IMO) while still getting favorable striker-only match-ups. If he wants to really make a concerted effort at another title run, he needs to accept that he's going to run into grapplers and that it probably won't end well for him. If the UFC decides to let him linger in the rankings and just hands him favorable match-ups while playing gatekeeper, I guess that's fine. I'd almost like to see him go on the RDA plan. Use the hype he's got right now from the Holland fight to drop out of the rankings with the UFC's blessings and then just chase all the money/glamor/legacy/fun fights to his heart's content.
