Celebrating the life and work of the great Stephen Sondheim, Old Friends won the Best Theatre Event at the 2023 WhatsOnStage Awards.
The cast of Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends is led by Broadway legends Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga. They are joined by Christine Allado, Clare Burt, Janie Dee, Damian Humbley, Bradley Jaden, Bonnie Langford, Gavin Lee, Jason Pennycooke, Joanna Riding, Jeremy Secomb, Jac Yarrow, Marley Fenton and Beatrice Penny-Touré. The company also includes Harry Apps, Bella Brown, Richard Dempsey and Monique Young, completing a cast that is truly the best of the West End and Broadway.

I cannot put into words what this show means to me and how magnificent it is, especially at this time when so much of the World is crap. I’ve seen the show 3 times and the video clip of this genius Man makes me sob every time. This show and Mr Sondheim’s work is the very best of Humanity. Thank you, everyone involved
I've already seen in 3 times and would go again tonight if I could. It's one, well 3 of the best evenings I have spent in the theatre. I cannot belive that it's not a sell out!!!!! Go see it, you will laugh, cry and scream....Go see it be suprised by the whole cast especially Bradley Jaden.

@@lapponia77 I saw Bradley at the closing peformance of the les Miserables the staged concert and from that moment on I was hooked, I have also booked for the closing night of old friends and I am sure I will be going a few more times in between :-)

I really enjoyed seeing Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends at the Gielgud Theatre in London on Wednesday 27th September and it was absolutely fantastic

There was a video before this was released - people interviewed going to the first preview and some clips of the sitzprobe (cast singing with the orchestra for the first time) that got me checking for flights from NY to London. I'm going to see it in the final week! Can't wait!

I saw this show on October 19th. It was mesmerizing, electrifying, enthralling, and completely wonderful. I don’t live in UK so I feel so lucky that I was able to see this show. I wish that I could see it again!
