Stephen Fry Tells His Family About His Journey - Who Do You Think You Are?

Ойын-сауық

Stephen gathers with family members at his parents home to tell them all about his discoveries over the past few weeks.
Stephen Fry seems as English as tweed, silver toast racks and the London black cab he can be seen driving around the streets of the capital. However, Stephens ancestry is in fact of Jewish European descent.
The story that pricked Stephen's interest the most when researching his family was that of his beloved maternal grandfather, Martin Newman. Martin's actual name was Neumann. By the time of his death, when Stephen was just eleven years old, his flamboyance had made an indelible mark on his grandson.
Stephen hopes to discover more about Martin's life and what happened to the other branches of the Neumann family?

I have so much time for Stephen Fry such a warm and intelligent person. His line "I'm so lucky simply to be alive" really struck a cord. He summed up his family's story and other family stories a million times over perfectly ❤. I find it remarkable that my own family exists after hearing about chance encounters/events. Stephen thank you for participating in this programme.

Stephen fry has been brought up with just so much respect empathy and not to hide his emotions which is so important in life instead of being told men don't cry but then his mum isn't English.

It's not an "english" thing in fairness. It's an old fashioned male thing. My brothers got thumped if they cried "Are you a man or what?" They are now middle aged and couldn't shed a tear at our brothers' funeral. Emotionally arrested. No English blood in our family.
