The crazy part about the very first play is that the Lakers did pretty much everything right. Beverley fought over the screen to deny Curry an easy pullup three as AD dropped, but AD was still just close enough to contest if Curry had decided to pull. AD's agility then allowed him to stay with Curry on the drive, and he recovered after the behind-the-back move and probably would have blocked the shot had Curry not faked him out.
