The individual that allowed Joe Burrow to play lastnight should be fired. The offensive line has been terrible for them the last "3" SEASONS

Being from Folsom, California (where Browning set the all-time US high school passing TD record, in three years of play), I'm just happy that he is finally playing in the NFL at age 27. He's always been an accurate passer who can scramble if necessary, and (in my opinion) his weaknesses are a weak arm (for long passes) and looking at the receiver (which tips off the defense). The latter can be fixed. Give him some protection, and good things can happen. But even if he crashes and burns, I'm just glad he's finally getting some playing time. Update 12/17/23: I'm even happier that he's been doing great and is finally being talked about by the national media.

@@jocool562 Jonah Williams actually played left tackle protecting Browning in high school and was a top draft pick for the Bengals. Apparently things did not work out as envisaged, or else it's the guards and center getting beat. I don't know, since I haven't been watching.

Rams found out you need a backup. Will Levis looked like old Aaron Rodgers but now he's Kelly Holcomb or any of the 40 QB's the Browns went through. Apparently the key is having a smart backup. Fitzpatrick was one. Dobbs is too. Sam Howell might not be the answer but at least he's fun. But if you have a backup that can play more than adequate in the NFL, then why isn't he already starting? That's the issue.

Template for smart teams. 1. Starter can elevate the talent: Example Mahomes 2. The back-up can't necessarily elevate but won't turn over ball and just be a good game manager: example Purdue

I think they should look into changing thursday night games to Friday nights or Saturday after a certain point of the season. It'll never happen. Friday night and Saturday night are sacred because of college football and high school football. The NFL has a long-standing tradition of not playing those days until those respective seasons are over. There should be no Thursday games, period. It's a bad product and not responsible to put the players back out there so soon.

It was one of the first times the backup played. It was against the Ravens who have one of the best defences in the league. I think if he prepares for the weeks and starts the game it will be a different situation.

Remember Lamar has missed the last 2 years before the playoffs... And those are the two years when Burrow went to the SB and AFC Championship Game.... So now that Burrow is out and LAMAR makes it to the SB. I don't wanna here none of you so-called sports experts say he got there because Burrow was out..🤔

I mean, I can understand RC's point. And to be fair, he has better insight into the decision making of playing hurt. I would imagine it would ultimately depend on the type of injury we are talking about. Of course, the player is probably going to say they can go. Great show Guys. You'll killed it on this topic. Bengals Fan since 1975, so I know Bengals Disappointment. I predicted 10-7 season after our loss to Cleveland opening day. Not only did we lose , HOW WE LOST. No Backup QB, limited Running Game options. These two issues are why we're in this situation. The AFC North Divison has no domed stadiums. The weather in all these stadiums they have horrible weather for PASS HAPPY TEAMS. This is where a Running Game comes into play, come November, December and January. We need Belicheck as our GM.
