I think Bellicek's problem now is not as a coach, but as a GM in the personnel decisions. Pats just dont have the talent anymore. Part of the reason Brady left was the inability of the Pats to provide a top notch receiver core.

Cam Newton got left to die on the field. He had no fucking body after Edelman only played 6 games in 2020. It was so atrocious how they expected Cam to win more than 7 games. Then, they turned around and fucked over him, all while Mac Jones stunk up the joint. They gave him many more weapons. That area, still push it 100% off on Cam. Brady walked out. The stench of the Pattiots already there long b4 Cam signed. Nobody came forward to support Cam but: Keyshawn Johnson, Max Kellerman, Marcellus Wiley. Kraft re-signed him. If u win 7 games ur first yr, u deserve a 2nd yr. Drew Bledsoe won only 5, as a Rookie. Brady won 0, as a. Backup. He’s 0-1 in the gm he had. They took Cam off the market & tricked him, 5-1/2 months, after! Cam got set up!

Completely agree on players not being ready for the league nowadays. Was watching a John Elway doc, and he was talking about the difficulty of transitioning to the pros. And he played 4 years at Stanford. Imagine coming to the league after two years at North Dakota State. And when we drafted Trey I figured he was better off spending two years learning from a pro team then from a college program. But hindsight is 2020.

I'm not sure Tom's 'almost halfway through the interview' point was well made. he probably would have made more sense to just bypass the 'diving board just for clicks' rant, & perhaps go with a more wide-ranging notion that social platforms are driven buy media as a business, and therefore quite possibly a distraction from matters at hand. Great interview though...
