AfroKenny Robinson and Anthony Miller are both playmakers so is Turbo Taylor and they have an offensive line but when your team is demoralized because the QB play is so bad yeah things get shitty. Trubisky IS the reason dude runs out of the pocket when there’s great blocking he has no sense of pass rush and gets paranoid he throw interceptions doesn’t have a feel for coverages it was a BAD PICK compared to the other first round QBs

Its not their job to know if draft prospects will do good. It IS however the job of NFL teams. Their job is to analyze and criticize the outcome of how good of a job NFL teams do. Which they are. He should have been laughing at the Bears the last 15 years for not getting Rogers who was picked 24th, they selected lower but a 1st and a couple of 2nds would have gotten that QB. Grossman looked not much better than Rosen did for Arizona and it would have been a no brainer to get a Hall of Famer.

You're right. I'm from Louisiana and the fans were so pissed about how the season ended the last two years. what happened last year and the year before transformed this Saints team into a mentally strong and more cohesive group. They are all focused from the GM to the coaches to the players. They are motivated and ready to make a run. There's a chip on their shoulders and they're playing with an edge. They don't care about the outside talk from critics and non believers, they believe in themselves and the WHODAT nation believes in them. Saints are hungry and it shows in their play week in and week out. That's a strong team.

I’ve said this once I’ll say it again, drafts are always and forever 20/20 hindsight and I say this because rankings, projections, mock drafts, etc existed for that draft and for those projections and rankings a lot of them showed Mitch was the highest ranked qb and went befor mahomes and watson in mock drafts

I’m from Chicago and can admit how awful a choice we made. Trubisky has had 3 years to “develop” and he’s still the same player. I think we could have won a Super Bowl last year with Mahomes. For whatever reason, Chicago’s franchise keeps losing everything to gain subpar quarterbacks.

A few teams that needed a quarterback passed on Mahomes. That includes the Browns who took Garrett 1st overall. The 49ers, at the time, needed a QB. The Jets and Jacksonville both needed QB's as well. Hind sight is always 20/20. I don't think anyone had Mahomes ahead of Trubisky as a prospect. In fact it was Trubisky, Watson then Mahomes according to most football experts.

Why does everyone forget that Watson was the third qb take and the one that was the easy choice

We could have had Chris Ballard as our GM but he wanted to make big changes and the McCaskeys did not want that so they passed on him! yeah god forbid we make changes to this franchise!

@@robertpreston2220 Pace has made huge changes too, and he's done a good job. Ballard has had it way easier in Indy, he walked into a situation with not 1 but 2 good qbs and a solid roster. Pace had nothing.

The failure of the Bears is on the coaching staff and front office management. Matt Nagy is at fault for the Offense. Chuck Pagano is at fault for the defense slipping lately. Ryan Pace is at fault for drafting Mitch Trubisky, trading Jordan Howard, and NOT FIXING THE OL after they got abused by the Eagles in the Wildcard Game. Think about these transactions in their offseason: Signed Bobbie Massie to a 4 year contract. Signed Ted Larsen to a 1 year contract. Traded RB Jordan Howard for a 6th round pick. Signed RB Mike Davis. Lost Nickel CB Bryce Callahan. Signed Nickel CB Buster Skrine. Lost SS Adrian Amos. Signed S HaHa Clinton-Dix. Cut K Cody Parkey. Signed K Eddy Pineiro. Signed WR/KR Cordarrelle Patterson. Drafted RB David Montgomery, CB Duke Shelley, WR Riley Ridley, RB Kerrith Whyte, CB Stephen Denmark. And then the coaching staff spent the majority of their time worrying about the Kicking competition. Meanwhile, the same holes in the OL still exist, Kyle Long is still useless 6 games into any season, the team doesn't have a true starting C and the LT is a penalty machine. These problems all existed at the end of last season. How and why they were ignored is the real issue.

I'm a Bears and Chiefs fan, so I knew on that Thursday night in 2017, I was witnessing a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence of the Chiefs and Bears being aggressive in drafting a QB. The issue I had immediately, as the announcement of moving from #3 to #2 became known, was the Bears were so easily goaded into thinking the 49ers were taking ANY QB at the start of a new regime with long-term contracts and many holes to fill before you bring in a "franchise" QB.

It was not logical. You could see at the time a case for either.

the problem with the bears has always been the coach and the QB historical the bears is one deminsonal only.

Impressed by saints who dat we got cheated last year this is our year sleep on the saints if you want to we can stop the run and the pass we have a great RB1 and a kicker that doesn't miss.

Yeah, because the Saints actually have a competent defense and a running game. Let's not act like the Saints would've went 5-0 if Brees suffered an injury like this in 2015 or 2016.

bye Trubisky, Pace and Nagy...Nagy is the reason we lost to the Raiders, winning the gane and we get a running into the kicker and then proceed to give up a fake punt with the defense on the field...horrible coaching (planning and discipline is the most important qualities imbued from a coach)

No one knew Pat Mahomes was going to be a legend. He was under Mitch's draft class in 2017. He looked like a decent backuo. How ignorant some people can be amazes me

This game was so hard to watch, you can see clearly both the fan base and the defense losing hope in there offense.

People didn’t even have mahomes going in the first round so this argument is irrelevant

Thays notbtrue at all, before the combine process he was the neck and beck with trubisky as the #2 qb in the draft. Everyone knew he had the best arm talent but playing in the air raid was seen as a negative... somehow trubisky was able to rise in the combine process even tho he didnt have the arm or experience mahomes did and he didnt have the success or experience that watson had.
