They didnt succeed together, they played really badly considering their talents. Replace Russ on a team with KD, Harden and Ibaka with Steph, Kyrie, Klay, CPaul and u get a ring, and develop ONE play at least which is not Russ giving the ball to KD at the 8m from the basket to dribble. Russ was the worst type of player to play with KD, just terrible fit

I love KD's take on that.

I can remember when KD used to say Russ was one of his best friends. Russ defended KD from criticism when he was on OKC's team. I do not like how KD dismisses Russ. Russ seems to be a stand up guy. I don't actually know KD but he seems to run from criticism and seems overly sensitive and always defensive.

Ikr. People need to understand that who's a better player and who'd you rather have on your team are different...Stephen A. would like Klay on his team more than Russ so that's why he said it. Russ is a far better overall player, he's been an MVP, the no.1 option, the face of the franchise, the go to guy, a playmaker, a shot creator, he has more All Star/All NBA appearances...Klay's never been that guy.
