Young lady got skills!!!
Great touch and flair for that old time music. Wonderful.
I love this tune and you play it marvelously, Stephanie.
You lovely child, it's so warming to hear you play beautiful music, feeling it as you show in your hands and arms. God bless and keep playing!
A great way to get out of doing the dishes at my Aunts house was to sit and play. You are a breath of fresh air to your listeners ♡♡♡♡
Your the best Stephanie. You make me cry :,)
Ye've just made my day! How can a wee slip of a lassie play so brilliantly well? Amazing.
Not only beautifully played, but you also charmingly made a connection with all those grey-headed audience members before playing. Wonderful.
This number provides just beautiful listening. That sensitive bass hand is just the right weight and makes it all very relaxing listening Geoff @ Tasjazz
thats brilliant.. if i could ever learn to play the piano thats what i would want it to sound like..
Fantastic!!
Here she can the decime in the bass. She is great. Ilove her music every day.
I could listen to this style and technique for hours. It's just excellent.
Excellent... noticed no sheet music...playing it from the heart...that's why it sounds so fantastic
Now, that's fabulous Fats-style stride!
Marvelous - I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter And make believe it came from you I'm gonna write words, oh, so sweet They're gonna knock me off my feet ...........
BRILLIANT!!!!!
This is really my kind of music. I only wish that could play this good.
That is one of my favorite songs. Thanks for doing this.
Fantastic performance with a great feel.Great to hear this!
An' make believe it came from you... Stephanie, you da man, I mean da babe.
Fabulous ... Madeleine Peyrous ----- From Louisina Just can't say enough
beautiful
Nice job,Stephanie!
excellent job!
Brill.....!!!!
I love listening to you play!
Wow...what a wonderful perfomance...Fats would be so proud....
Great piano playing. It's nice to see some of the older songs being played with such precision. Love the Albert Ammons and Pete Johnson pieces some of which I have on disc.
As usual very good played.
Great stride piano playing, thanks
Nice job.
Some people can throw a dime up into the air and shoot a hole in the center of it with a .22, some people can play piano like this girl. Her fills and ad-libs.....this song should consider itself lucky.
Wonderful arrangement as usual, outstanding job! Thanks!
There is nothing like angels (girls) playing piano
Love it !!!
Thats a nice dress~ Plus you are as good as usually!
bella - brava - bravissima!!! congratulations from north-Italy... you can play the "LOVELESS" from Fat´s Waller?? A.A.
Stephanie, you are an inspiration to me. You play with such respect and appreciation for these wonderful tunes. Can I ask you where you learned to play this tune? I would just die to learn to play it the Fats Waller way.
Stephanie, you are what it's all about! do you ever play concerts in Canada?
Fats would be proud of you
Yes love this kind of layed back melody and would love to be able to play this kinda stuff. I know Fats performed this song but does anyone know if it's his composition?
Stephanie - Love your work! Are there any videos of you where we can see your face while you are playing?
Loved it.......thanks.
That was great Stephanie. I've mainly heard Joplins rags but haven't heard what you're playing. Your'e helping to expand my interests. What is it like tuning up to a concert and playing on different piano's? Does it take long to adjust to the touch of the keys etc?
Fats would have LOVED this...
You can probably get the sheet music but it wouldn't be this fantastic version.
This has given me much inspiration, thanks Stephanie, was about to give up but I see tunes like this are achievable even for an old man like me, someday anyway! Take care and stop by my page and check out the trumpet on this tune Steph!
Where did you get the sheet music! I've been looking for a transcription for ages and can't seem to find one!
nice ! I really would like to get the music sheet, does anyone know where I could find it please ?
Notice how she doesn't have a score in front of her. She has to remember the whole piece and have the hand movements programmed into her brain, to a high degree of accuracy. Obviously, this isn't even her hardest piece, so she's probably the Funtwo of piano.
I'm sure she's pleasing her granfather playing so well...
Anybody know the chords for this? I'm thinking of rearranging this piece to improv with.
haha the guy who disliked mustav missed the like button :P
@HubSwitch Fats plays this on a record, I don't know which one though.
