Steph Curry SONS Durant...Reminds Us All He's the One

Steph Curry just reminded everyone in the basketball world that he is HIM when considering the age old conversation: KD or Steph...

    @@skap_attackjust watch the games. Curry was getting doubled or blitzed pretty much every pick and roll. Durant was going one on one with 6’3 George hill and 6’6 Jr smith in the post and Cavs were sending no help all series long. If you’re a top 10 scorer ever like Durant is, you should be able to average 35 when that’s the defense they’re playing on you. Even in game 3 when curry couldn’t buy a bucket until the 4th quarter and Durant was on fire, the Cavs defense was still jumping out on curry like he was the one who was hot and leaving the warriors offense with 4 on 3 advantages. Imagine if curry got to iso against kyle Korver all series long and KD was getting doubled most of the series. That’s the equivalent to how Durant was being defended by the Cavs. Their numbers would flip.

    Facts. KD went to the absolute most ideal situation for his style of play. Essentially all he was asked to do was play solid enough team defense and score on the block. KD if nothing else, is probably the most efficiently greatest scorer in NBA history. So all he was required to do offensively was do what he does best, score. Steph was shooter, scorer, facilitator, playmaker, crowd igniter etc. He was the engine that drove that GS offense even when KD was there.

    @@skap_attackwhat’s funny is how everyone criticizes curry for being “saved” by Durant’s 3 point shots in games 3 of the 17 and 18 finals (doesn’t even make sense since they were already up 2-0 in the series). But they don’t even remember that curry made the shot to put GS up 98-97 with 3 minutes left in 2018 game 3. Curry then made a 3 pointer on their next possession to put them up 101-97 with 2:37 left. When Durant made that long 3 with 50 seconds left, golden state was up 103-100, giving them a 106-100 lead after making the shot. If curry makes clutch shots with even a 1 point lead these same people say he’s a front runner, but when he gave his team the lead taking shot and then put them up 4, and then Durant made a shot with the lead, hes clutch and bailed out curry.

    To be fair, KD has gotten crazy unlucky with injuries since leaving the Warriors. The Nets super team played 13 games together and KD was a toe away from beating the Bucks and dragging them to a ring anyway. His past 2 years playoffs have certainly been disappointing by his standards, but if KD gets a ring without Steph, then we have a Shaq and Kobe situations where one has more finals MVPs, but the other has more rings since the split.

    That winning shot is one thing LeFraud has never been able to do. If you want to talk about dominance it has to be GSW and Curry NOT LeSoft, he never dominated he lost 6 of his finals appearance and never took the last shot. KD is the softest player in this era joined the GSW after they whipped his A** the year before. Im glad more and more people like you are exposing these Entitled super soft player that all they do is shooting 3's and they think that is goat material. RIDICULOUS. You can NEVER EVER compare this super soft cup cake era to the real eras of 80s 90s and 00s. Curry changed the NBA with his shooting and moving from screens while LeRoid James just ruined it with his soft stack up teams and help of Silver's softest Rules allowing these clowns to travel, flop, carry the ball and load management. Hope the European players help fixing this with their sense of competence and winning the right way... Jokic, Lika, Giannis...

    Finally giving Curry some Credit. I've always told people that the GSW real MVP is Curry, Durant looks Good Because Curry took away all the problem Durant will have if he didn't have a Curry next to him. Like everyone who had played with Curry (Green, Klay, Pool,). Also one of the biggest factor is Curry had the mike effect. And it ain't just in this instance of being Clutch. Children literally wanted to be like Curry - they literally are throwing 3's because of Curry When Curry plays in Christmas games or the Finals - People literally Goes to Park to play or talk about it and Curry's presence alone can literally fill in the arena. Curry's shoes doesn't sell Like mike but the Brand Curry represents get into the conversation of most successful brands like what happened to Nike with MJ on Court. Curry takes all the defense to the point his team gets free looks. - Mike to Kerr where defensive assignment gets concentrated on mike. Fouling call - They literally need to tackle curry or actually harm him to stop him from gaining points and still ends up getting that point most times. -Like Mike against piston.

    it doesn't even matter whats happening to the warriors this year. curry has been hard carrying that squad since 2013, look at the gravity a now 35yo curry still draws on the floor. it's utter madness how frightened teams are of that man. you can't tell me he hasn't been the the one guy in everyone's head for over a decade now. no one else in the league draws that type of defense. no one else in the league has to work so hard for thier shot. hell since 2013 when the spurs blasted the heat teams have just been sagging off lbj and letting him shoot. dude hasn't had to work to get an open jumper in a decade, yet instead of just eviscerating everyone from outside lbj still bulrushes the hoop in hopes of being bailed out with trips to the line. it's sorta embarrassing for the "king" to steal from nick wright, if the aliens come down from outer space and saw BB for the first time at any point in the last 10 years there is little doubt they'd think the point of the game was to stop curry. i don't think we need to look any further for who owned the 2010s.

    The difference between KD and Steph is that Steph is a system, a leader, and a consistent winner. Steph’s playoff win percentage without KD is 65%, whereas KD without Steph is 47%. KD is just a scorer who folds under pressure, which is why he had to join a team with an already lethal offense to relieve some pressure off his shoulders in the post season.

  • @Laras3383
    @Laras33834 ай бұрын

    KD haters don't know how great KD is. There is a difference between becoming great and being great all the time that's the difference between KD & Curry. KD was great even before entering the NBA and since his rookie year he is consistently playing well. Just imagine what if Westbrook played with curry and Durant for warriors. KD would have got rings. First stop comparing KD with Curry. KD can do everything better than curry except shooting long range 3 and quick release because of his size that's the only thing he can't do like Curry but every other thing he does it better efficiently, Curry is nowhere near to KD in defense then how on earth these kids keep comparing KD with Curry. If Curry is the best shooter god has ever created then why can't he shoot at least 50%??? Yes, in my opinion he is the best shooter nothing to deny that.. I love curry.. Anthony Edwards, Fox & SGA is shooting better, can we say they are better than curry by just comparing last 2 season??.. When you are comparing someone you need to look back at their historical records otherwise don't compare.. If you take a poll with all NBA players past and present, 80% of the players would pick KD.. Curry takes more shots than KD and yet he is averaging just 24 for this entire career where as KD averages 27.3. Curry is 18th all time and KD is in top 5 all time with the best shooting average how incredible his stats are?? KD scored 50% or more in the last 12 seasons consistently and chef curry scored 50% only once in his entire career, this one stat is more than enough to know who is a better player offensively..Why did LeBron pick KD twice over curry, why do a lot of current players pick Durant as his favourite player?? KD isn't the same player ever since the Achilles..

A lethal shooter who can make any shot from anywhere including a ridiculous & underrated layup package who stayed loyal to 1 organization. Very telling that the Mamba himself recognized a real threat It's true that his legacy takes a hit because of the 2 Durant rings & anyone reasonably steph/warriors fan should recognize that. If he'd won all 4 rings without KD I'd have him over Magic as the GOAT PG but because of the massive context of those 2 championships I'm not ready to make that claim. But taking into account Durant's inability to win without Steph and his recent playoff failures just make it hard to make a case for Durant being greater than Curry anymore.
