I think one thing everyone is forgetting in terms of team USA is that steph likely would've played in 2016, but he was hurt all playoffs and had to have surgery after the finals.

Given Joe Lacob's aim to keep spending below the 2nd apron it appears Dunleavy is bolstering a team around Stef Currie that will at least reach the playoffs. I don't get that feel that the team as a whole is after consistent wins as much as they're after a good enough team that will at least reach the play-ins. So an above average team is maybe what we'll get this 2024-25 season. Pity, because Curry always aims higher, never lets up, and prepares accordingly before the season begins.

20-30 years ago this was the case. Now with new training techniques, nutrition, and supplements you can push back another 5-6 years. I remember back in the 80s an ACL tear was a career ender. Now, guys come back after a year. There’s stem cell, HGH (not steroids) and all kinds of things people can take to slow down aging or keeping peak performance. However, some of those might not be legal in some leagues. It all varies.

They are absolutely wasting his prime the past 2-3 years. They keep thinking they just have a "switch" that will automatically lead them to winning and they dont. The core has gotten older and the rest of the league has caught up to what they built. Now with Klay gone they need to go and get a second star, and not wait until trade deadline. Trading Poole for CP3 last season was dumb. They should have and could have gotten back more for him.

Just the bench would terrify most countries but yeah it's basically the champion celtics + 10 star pieces to help them win a gold. LOL that's so funny. A roster of all-stars who can now focus more on defense and share the offensive load. No one is going to shoot more than 14 shots. Everyone is going to basically look for that one amazing defensive play. That's kind of insane if you think about it. You have 2 x all defense on that 2nd unit for the USA. Also 1 x 2nd all defense team. LOL. Wth?

They went after Bron at the deadline. Everyone involved in the PG trade thought that was done til it wasn’t. They’re pursuing hard after Markannen. They’re for sure swinging for the fences.

Warriors team currently are worst than 2021 roster. As long as they don't acquire legit 2nd option, they can't be a title contender. #11 seed at west is their best way they can reach with that kind of roster currently.

ESPN is so lazy. You can’t win a chip every year. Curry had great veteran players when they won those rings. He didn’t do it alone. Now the young players and new veterans have to step up. They have two years.

Not selected in 2012 (was a young player on the comeup with injuries, 2013 was his 'breakout' season), hurt in 2016, chose not to play in 2020 (which happenend in 2021) for personal reasons. From what he said those mostly were him feeling good about his and the Warriors' position after the season, not wanting to jeopardize that with an injury, and having a plan for utilizing the off season to prepare for the next season. Judging by the outcome of the 2022 season, I'd say it probably paid off

He's over 35. Come on, man! Sorry, but that's way pass his prime. Ok, professional athletes at that level nowadays with the money they make and their discipline and their will into conditioning season to season can get to 40. Still, don't kid yourself it's just a small percentage of players who can make that happen. The rest of them can barely make it to 35. Especially in accordance to the demands of winning a chip. Otherwise, you could pretty much be playing in a team aspiring to tanking for the next season...

The complete lack of research and the level of ignorance displayed by Skip Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson on ESPN’s Undisputed is truly astounding, particularly in regards to the WNBA’s Angel Reese and Caitlan Clark. To quote that timeless stalwart of women’s sports, Jane Austen, “A person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.”
