I enjoyed very much seeing Mr Darcy’s playful side in determined competition with the other gents. My favourite scenes were the discussion about Helen of Troy, and Darcy asking Elizabeth where he should hit John Thorpe. I must admit it would have been good to see Henry Tilney do that to Thorpe in Northanger Abbey.

I love this book. This author is gifted. I have listened to this book several times. What a wonderful variation. Jane Austin characters are always fun, but this story is one of the best.

I've been hearing that readers are weary of Wickham as the bad guy, so I went looking for someone else. Enter John Thorpe and his manipulative sister! I'm glad you enjoyed them, Lynda.

I enjoyed the reading with the different tones of voice depending on the character. Excellent reading

Another creative mix of Jane Austen's characters! It's such fun to listen to Laura Hile's books! This time the Thorpes are at Longbourne and are creating all sorts of havoc. A delightful read with no angst between Darcy and Elizabeth; just shared amusement and a timely rescue or two. Benjamin Fife brings life to the characters and is a delight to listen to!

Hi, Beverly, Hi, Beverly, If Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth are in it, he's falling in love. These are variations, not sequels or series books. In Want of a Wife, So This Is Love, and Sir Walter Takes a Wife are not Darcy-Elizabeth love stories, although you will find them in the background. Thanks for your interest in my audiobooks. "Re-living" variations of Darcy and Elizabeth's romance is their favorite. We who write in this genre have learned to give readers what they're hungry for. 😃 On the other hand, KZread reaches a much wider audience. To my surprise and delight, my two most popular audiobooks are not Darcy and Elizabeth romances. Thus, I am encourged to branch out with original Regency stories. . . along with the occasional Darcy and Elizabeth romance. 😃 Thanks for your feedback, Beverly. I'm learning as I go.
