Step by Step UGLY Lawn Transformation
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This ugly lawn transformation was actually pretty easy. I show you how to kill the weeds in this lawn without killing the grass. My fried Paul Jamison and I mowed the grass and put a fresh edge on the lawn which definitely helped. I wanted to do more than just cut the grass, so I decide to make a weed control application as well as fertilize the lawn to help the green color and also fill in the bare spots. I used a 38-0-7 blend of fertilizer. I sprayed a pre and post emergent combination on the lawn. I showed the results after 1 month and I was very please with the transformation of this lawn.

Listen!! Never appreciated a beautiful yard until my family got a house that is high maintenance with landscaping and now I see the value of having a beautiful maintained lawn 🥰
Great job, Jason! This winter/ early spring temp swings have been crazy!
Great stuff. Love that you show chemicals and amounts. Thanks.
Not saying this is a boring video…I’m learning a lot! But I’ve been trying to get my baby to sleep for almost 2 hours and I put this on….she was out in about 60 seconds…

Great job Jason, man you had an extra cup of coffee that morning!!!
This gives me hope for my yard
Great Content sir! Thanks for equipping the viewers with confidence to tackle a desirable lawn👍🌴
Good job on the lawn. I got tired of the weeds growing on my back yard I sprayed for weeds and now I'm tilling everything to start from scratch.
Northeast region here (Mass.) Sadly, my front lawn looks like that. A complete mess of weeds. Hoping this video will help me get it to where it's not an eye sore anymore!
Watching you in high speed playback looks like one of the old Keystone Cops films. I like it
Great job, jason. 👍👏👏👏👏
Awesome video!!
Really appreciate you following back on the results, really helps put things into perspective. Also, have you looked into getting an external mic that like attaches to your shirt for the future? I feel like it could help improve the quality of your videos. Either way I appreciate your videos!
Thank you. Straight to he point
I like the way you put these videos together. I learn a lot from you. Keep them coming! Also the way you explain the products for different types of grass….amazing!!!

Great job! I'm watching you and learning as I'm thinking about starting a lawn care business near Baltimore. Question; We don't have Bermuda up here but are the herbicides and weeds about the same as where you are? Thanks Jason.
Wow that startled me the sound of that lawn mower.😂😂😂 Sounds like a broken vacuum cleaner

Love the vids thanks for all the great info. I am dealing with CatsEar weed with no luck from store brand weed killers. They work ok on dandelions but the CatsEar sees to persist. What would you suggest to eradicate Catsear.

I live in Australia and looks like you have the same weeds as we do. As far as weeds go, it is a small world.😅
Jason are you running 1 gallon per 1k on the skid applications? I used to do 2 gal per thousand, but I recently re-calibrated down to 1 gal to try and go further on a tank because my skid is only 100 gallons. Nice transformation. Im not sure what happened, but I didnt get a good kill on a yard I sprayed and thats what led me to recalibrate. I needed to ensure I was getting the proper rates. Also, what rate did you go on the Fert? How much N per 1k approx?
Can you give me any advice? I want to change my switch grass fields to regular grass, I’ve cut the switch grass and took it to dirt wondering if i spray it with round up to kill it or what? Then can just throw grass seed down?
looks great! Just wanted your opinion on my lawn. I have an acre of land. The front yard is much like the one you performed your work on..... The back is dirt. Should I till the back and sod....then treat for weeds as you did in the front?

Same? Question and Location..
Hey Jason , I used weed killer called Image on my lawn ,it was supposed to kill weeds only, unfortunately it killed some grass also, now I have a lot of thatch spots, how do I fix it quickly?
Great job! Do I need a license to buy those quimicals? I want to be in the weed control business. Where do I start, besides watching your videos.
What would you recommend for centipede and Bermuda mix to control dandelion, clover and nettle in zone 7
My sod has been down for about 3 months now and weeds have been growing in it like crazy. I sprayed it first… when should i cut it?
I wish you'd come to my yard in east TN. My yard is pure weeds...
What part of Alabama are you in? i have bermuda sod and my neighbor has centipede sod. his centipede is taking over the side of my yard that connects to his. i need help.
10:38 Could that be Carpet Grass with the spidery runners?
I just discovered Ragweed in my Bermuda, 1st time I've ever seen it. Anyone have recommended products that I can spot-treat with? Would just a cheapy broadleaf spray work, or do I need a real one?
what setting do you use on the solo chest spreader?
you can put fertilizer that quickly after putting down weed killers?
What was the chemical that you first applied to the lawn to revive it? You mentioned three different products, which look like they were commercially packaged. do you get those at a farm supply place? I’d like to try to find a hose-end sprayer that’s already mixed and easy to apply. If that’s impossible, just tell me the first thing you sprayed on the lawn. I normally use Spectracide Weed Stop for Crabgrass that attaches to my hose. It doesn’t do a very good job on getting rid of crabgrass. It has some Quinclorac in it, but not much. Many thanks for your help.
can you do this with St Augustine too?
Looks good. Did you spay and fertilize on the. same day?
Is change up safe to use on cool season lawns?
I have a yard in Marietta Georgia that is in bad shape and I need some help on what to do. I have a video of the yard but how do I get it to you. Please help me.
I’m so excited to get started on my nasty lawn. I’m sure my neighbors would be happy if I just tried…😊
He took off his glasses and it was John Cena!
I’m trying to redo my whole backyard full of weeds without using using chemicals if I rototill over the weeds, won’t the weeds just regrow so technically the weeds have to be pulled?
Is this method safe around trees?
This video gave me hope 🤣🤣🤣. Poa has filled my yard and also now have some big shady spots with no grass.

@@lawncarelife When letting it die off.naturally, doesn't that give it the chance to spread more seeds since it's allowed to live its full life cycle? Would a good pre-emergent application be as effective this fall if you let it die off instead of killing it?

@Lawn Care Life Have considered that. Also have some Image red label and Negate mixed last year. I figure it couldn't hurt.
Why use the green dye? Is that just for that instant gratification buzz until all your work finally pays off?
any videos on how to kill weeds on st augustine grass ?
Will white vinegar kill the dallies grass

Question - looks like you applied the weed killer and fertilizer at the same time. Can somebody confirm? I need a timeline for weed killer, fertilizer, bermuda seeding/overseeding, and pre-emergent. I am having trouble finding that. It is March in Dallas, so high 60s. Thank you!

I need your help. I live in Chattanooga and my house is at the end of a wash for the county where all the water from the neighborhood flows down my driveway into the wash that runs through my front yard and backyard. My yard is very green. The yard actually looks like a jungle and I have a lot of insects. It could be beautiful because it's about .35 acres. My issue besides the water flow problem I mentioned earlier is the yard is overflowing with every kind of weed you can imagine especially the kind of weed that crawls along the ground. I bought this home about 2 years ago and about a year and a half ago I lost my job. I haven't been able to find a new job. My weeds are already a couple feet tall. I have two 100 year old oak trees in my yard that are dying and dropping limbs and my yard is very uneven. OK after that explanation how can I deal with this kind of yard without a budget? I would love to have grass at some point but I am having trouble keeping up with the fallen limbs and growth rate of the weeds. Suggestions @lawncarelife ?
@michaeldunagan8268
Жыл бұрын
The oak trees are going to cost money to eliminate You can get a weed trimmer like this guy used in the video to have the weeds down in your lawn. Not as ideal as a mower, but try to get a 12-inch one. I believe the Ryobi cordless will be about $150 at home Depot for 12 in string trimmer. The north side of the garage where I live always gets weeds growing up through the mulch. About three times this summer I would pull up the weeds. I'm now working smarter: I take the string trimmer over the top of them and just knock him down to the surface of the mulch and it only takes me 3 minutes. By the time August arrives, the weeds have had it for the season.
Why did you choose to not bag all the weeds as you mowed? I have used TRU green. In Dallas area. I take good care of my yard. My flowers look great but I can’t get them to address the weeds. Many different weeds on my yard. I have a weed puller that pulls them up root and all. It’s as if they spray it w water only. Weeds don’t die or even turn color. It chokes my St Augustine.
I'm curious why you don't use your ride on spreader/sprayer.
@lawncarelife

I use it sometimes. Depends on the yard
it is more effective to spray erbicides and after 1 week trim . More surface contact and better absorbtion.
Should tune the volume down when the equipment is running. great vid lol but the noise hurts the ears
38-0-8? We dont have that here in texas.
I would think leaving it uncut would have a better result giving the products more surface area on the plant to work.

On another channel I questioned why they had the scout bermudagrass as I live in a cool grass area. The response to me was that the scalping was to take away the brown part of the Bermuda grass to allow the new growth that is green to take its place.
Ive been using only 24d on my yard at 1.2 fl oz per 1000 sq ft and it killed everything but will not touch the white clover or cudweed in my yard. I have been hand pulling it as much as i can and even glphosphate isnt phasing the clover

Oh boy, Glyphosate is a nasty stuff. Thanks for the info. I've been pulling weeds by hand because it's only a 5000 sqft lot. I'll stick with hand pulling and fertilizer.
I recommend putting some soft music over the clips of cutting the yard instead of speeding it up cause it speeds up the audio and it's very high pitched.

Are there any simple products premade, effective, and cost efficient for the average home user? This is a great job, but I don't want to be buying gallons of this stuff and looking like a meth lab in my garage 😅
Why didn't you just thatch out the weeds, and then furtilize it?
