STEP by STEP - How to lift up Jeep Wrangler's hard top | MicBergsma

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The video show you EVERYTHING on how to lift up Jeep Wrangler's hard top, from the beginning to end with SUBTITLES! We watched other videos on how to lift up the hard top, but found nothing really useful for us because we are all deaf. So we decided to make a new video of step by step instructions with subtitles!

I really enjoyed this video! Got me kick-started on my own project. I did some things differently - cam type straps for easy lowering and slings so hooks aren't directly toughing the roof.

Nicely done. As noted by others, my concern is using the ratchet straps to lower the top. They don't lower slowly so this could be a challenge.

The real trick is getting it back on. Ratchet straps don't release in ratchet mode. Try using a nylon hoist.

Great job gals! I'm totally ready to install this just like yall have it tomorrow morning. One thing that would be nice to know is the distance of the eye hole bolts from one another. Not a critical thing, but that would help map it out quicker for us now that yall have shown everything else! Good ol Texas gals! Thanks again

Nice job. I was considering doing something with pulleys and block and tackle, but I think I will just go with the way you ladies did it. I have to hoist mine all the way up high to use my garage and thought that releasing ratchet tie-downs to reinstall would be tough from that height, but I will just release them with someone holding the hardtop and get it to lower position (inches above the jeep) to put the hardtop back on. No complicated plans. Thanks.

+seth nagel No. It won't of the tension is held with one had while the other releases the ratchet. Having done the ratchet strap trick myself for any years, if the top is hoisted far higher than the body of the Jeep, I would recommend lowering it a foot at a time so as not to have an extremely off-kilter top hanging at a precarious angle.
