I have the same Corolla and the same radio. This installation video was perfect. My only negative about this radio and all similar radios compared to the stock radio is that for certain functions such as changing the volume and pre-selected stations, you have to take your eyes off the road for much longer. To lower the old radio volume, all you had to do was feel for the knob while keeping your attention on the road.

@@rommell9666it’s not a as fast. There are some specific instances where music needs to turn down - not off - on a dime. Rolling down window to talk to someone, ambulance driving by, entering a curvy highway ramp etc. having to hold the steering wheel control down for a full 5-8 seconds is a lot more painful than it sounds. In that case the original head unit is an upgrade unless you can find an aftermarket radio with a volume knob

Guys please keep in mind that you most be careful when removing the dashboard trims aswell as AC vent cover, which can break due to the plastic weakness due to prolonged sun exposure. Even the smalles force can breake these things and they can cost you anywhere from 36-300$ dollars to replace depending on the damage. The upper trim with ac vent cover is a hot part in the market as of 11/29/2021 If you are fortunate to remove it safely give yourself a pat in the back you saved yourself 300$+ on replacement parts. on a DIY.

That's true my car have the plastic upper the AC vent destroyed due to sun exposure, the price for replacement is $200 USD in my country

I like the way, you just put the GPS antenna on the front dashboard…. I was wondering, why is it that the tethering or hotspot don’t always connect to the head unit? And please can you show us how to connect the back camera, please.

nice job on the install with great detailed breakdown. i have an 09 and my question is, are you able to still listen to satellite radio on this thing? i have sirius xm satellite n my corolla using the AM SAT button on my stock radio. I've been looking all over an aftermarket radio that still allows the use of listening to satellite radio, but haven't had much luck

U have to download the app

Have you found a setting where you can set the power to stay on for, say, 30s after the power is turned off? Other Android radios I have used have it burried in the settings somewhere. That way, when you go from ACC to IGN it won't reboot.

How easy is it to tie this in to the driving telemetry? The stock Toyota head can show various graphs for fuel economy. This is the mode I usually have on while driving. Is it a standardised feed or something proprietary to Toyota?

Can you use Waze or Google maps if you connect to home wifi to install apps and then no internet and use GPS? The only thing I didn't like you loose the CD-ROM drive

Connect it to your phone Hotspot so you don't loose connection, I only connect it to Home wifi to download apps. out of the house I use my phone Hotspot for internet.

Have you got the carbit app to work? Mirrorscreen your phone to the screen?

why did you drill a hole to install the 2 usb cables ? to the right of the clock there is a tab where you could install a usb port and plug the 2 usb cables.

you can hook the aux cable anywhere you want. but make sure it doesn't damage your airbag system so do not put too close to the airbag🙏🏾

@@Loverofengines101 hey brother, just installed today. Do you happen to know what is wrong with unit regarding reverse camera. I made sure everything is wired correctly and all of the wires/connectors are functioning properly. The camera does turn on when I put the car into reverse the problem is the head unit itself does not actually change the source so it can show the camera when I do put it into reverse, the screen doesn't change. So the issue here it seems that the head unit doesn't know when I put into reverse.

Do any one has the version where they can use 4g cellular as connection? If so, do you have any problems connecting or getting reception? For the USA users. My wifi connection is stable, just the cellular doesn't connect sometimes and my cellphone saying it's connected with full bar.
